Agree with everyone about housework. Life's too short. My next door neighbour is obsessive about it but clearly has no other interests!

BK am liking your thinking. A sleek black Range Rover delivering CJ to my door will definitely get the curtains twitching on my road. Shall I make you your own little rhubarb pie to take away with you?

Best get ready for work. Only today and tomorrow so a nice short week.

Mumtothenipper · 05/05/2015 08:32

Morning all. Early to bed last night, so lovely treat to wake up to so many ff updates. jen I'm going to bereft when your story finishes. I hope Julia and brains work things out, as with all your writing I can really feel their pain.

pixie I really think you've nailed Smurf's character in your story. He is such a hard character to understand, and the element of the bleed changing his character makes it even harder. My bil had a brain tumour and the effects on his personality were really difficult for us to all manage. I find writing about smurf very challenging, he is easy to assume the worst of I think, but like I say I really think you've got it spot on.

Have to say whajebs last chapter will go down as one of my all time favourite chapters... And that last line, perfect!!!!

Ilovelblue · 05/05/2015 09:06

Nipper echo everything you say there.

Richtea19 · 05/05/2015 09:23

A brand new thread, yippeee.

So much FF to catch up on but looking forward to Rhubarbs, Jens, pixies and Nipper, have I missed any? I don't seem to always get the updates sent.

Re. Housework, other than hoovering (3cats) I leave most other things, dusting etc until we have house visitors. I did have a flick over before CJs arrival. Didn't want him thinking I'm a dirty girl!!!!

Bk are you collecting from me or am I dropping off?

cjwoofwoof · 05/05/2015 09:40

Morning everyone, nice to see a new shiny thread. Thank goodness the storming of the Agency was put on hold whilst I was away and RL de-cluttering and gardening was more the order of the BH. I wouldn't want to miss being manhandled by uniformed officers for obvious reasons.

So sorry about your dog painted mine is 12 and away at my mums until I fetch her back and the house is so empty without her. People say they're just pets but it's such a close bond you have with them that is just as special as any human relationship. In fact I prefer my dog's company to a lot of humans I know. Hopefully once the sadness eases you'll contemplate getting another dog and begin a whole new chapter of happy canine memories.

On the pie front I believe CJ would naturally be squirty cream but that's only my filthy minded opinion, and is probably more my jus of choice than his.

I'm so behind on ff so can't wait to have a ff catchup fest when I'm next on my own. I bet they're all blimmin brilliant as usual.

pixie I don't think that scything competition would pass muster if Nickels pics are anything to go by. It was probably a bit too hopeful to have 20 AT body-doubles lined up with their long handled choppers anyway. That's the stuff of colourful dreams sadly.

Rhubarb01 · 05/05/2015 09:48

Morning. Every time someone has mentioned rhubarb pie in the last couple of days on here I've jumped and wondered if it's a euphemism for some (ahem) position that I'm supposed to be aware of. I've lived a sheltered life down here in Rhubarb Land! On the other hand it could just be I've spent too long on this thread to take anything at face value. Oh you lot - especially you woof - have corrupted me. What a pity!

KeziaOAP · 05/05/2015 10:01

Morning everyone have been awol from posting for a couple of weeks lurking in the background. It's just gone 3 years since my DH died, coming up to the anniversary I feel so sad, once the date has passed I feel more up beat. Thank you lovely ladies for all your posts, especially the banter between orphan and woof, kept my spirits up.

Brilliant ff from MNs, hope it keeps going, still need CJ/MD fix. Watched episodes 4 and 5, again last night had to get their voices in my head when reading the ff. My DVD seems to stutter a bit at certain scenes, is it worn out? May have to get another copy Sad

painted sorry about your lovely Lucy, a memory board is such a good idea, we did this with all the cats we've had over the years.

cjwoofwoof · 05/05/2015 10:08

Hmm Rhubarb Pie, good euphemism there Rhu but it was all your own invention - corrupted by others indeed!!!

cjwoofwoof · 05/05/2015 10:10

Welcome back kez we've missed you and you're still in time for storming the Agency and warming CJs pies Grin

KeziaOAP · 05/05/2015 10:18

Thank you woof. As regards storming the agency I'm going down to the capital sometime in June. After reading this thread a euphemism could be read into nearly every word/thing/object mentioned Wink.

icemistOBE · 05/05/2015 11:59

Glad you're back kezia

Richtea19 · 05/05/2015 12:13

Our MN FF writers are the best! Just had a major catch up before I head into work. Absolutely brilliant, all of them. woof don't forget episode two of your cross over exploits!

Ilovelblue · 05/05/2015 12:20

Was wondering where you had got to Kezia. Nice to have you back with us. You've missed such a lot! We've got the kilt fitting to come later on this week and I might have to fight off orphan and Richtea as well!

Can't remember who said TG will have his work cut out for a second series with all our brilliant ff around. Was musing to myself on my drive into work whether it's because it's largely written by women for women that it appeals to us so much? Apart from the fact it is all so bloody amazing of course. What does anyone think?

Rhubarb I am reading euphemisms into everything, including my gay colleague making a comment about "keeping your meat in a drawer" last week which was probably totally innocent really! It's definitely the fault of this thread. My mind is getting corrupted.

KeziaOAP · 05/05/2015 12:36

Got a couple of builders here trying to put a tarpaulin up in very windy conditions one shouts get it up........ now why did I burst out laughing? Blush Grin

BK28 · 05/05/2015 12:43

richtea will collect ...got to get my monies worth for the car rental!

rhub The overflow into RL is definitley an issue as my poor DH has even commented that most things I say these days are euphemisms and am I totally obsessed with positions!! I just put it down to the menopause!!!

Rhubarb01 · 05/05/2015 12:59

Ilove there's probably some truth in what you say about almost all the FF being written by women. Obviously Klipdoctor, SPO and I assume Daniel Darcy are men and I have to say that they do have a different way of looking at it (obviously our own SPO writes in the comic AU which is a little different than straight drama) and I think a different tone to the writing. Mind you TG wrote OG and we all love the way that was played out although there's still a lot of action and much of the tenderness and subtlety we see is down to the great portrayal by the actors. Its the interpretation of the script that we love. I did however, think of a successful writer of romantic fiction for women who used the pen name Emma Blair but was in fact a man called Ian Blair. I read one of his once and I wouldn't have known that it was written by a man.

Onlygirljen · 05/05/2015 13:31

ilove I'm not sure how that meat comment could be taken as anything other than dirty!? Is my mind just so corrupted that everything seems like a double entendre now?

Rhubarb01 · 05/05/2015 13:43

I have tried to think of a legitimate reason why meat might be kept in a drawer. A freezer drawer perhaps or an incredulous comment about not putting something away in the fridge? It's no good ilove you'll have to find out what was actually meant.

Ilovelblue · 05/05/2015 14:14

My gay colleague was talking to our manager when the comment about meat in a drawer came up. I wasn't really listening initially and just chirped up with the "I hope that's not a euphemism". They looked totally shocked at my comment so I wouldn't embarrass myself further trying to delve into why the meat in drawer comment had arisen. Our manager is most definitely straight and I would have been surprised if my colleague had tried to chat him up.

Jen as our Queen of Smut, we expect you to have a corrupt mind.

icemistOBE · 05/05/2015 15:43

Some fab FF updates today. Sad that Bedside Manner has finished as I've enjoyed it. Will read it again from start in a while.

Anymore chapters woof ?

Just looking at the Hector Russell website Jen. From a distance, this could be CJ.

He's going to look pretty handsome in this escorting us to the Witchery later this week. And of course, we know he has nice legs!
