ilove I hate heights and was hyperventilating with fear by the the time we emerged onto the duomo roof but the view was amazing. As we were about to start the climb, a rather large American lady was being helped down as she'd nearly had a heart attack just getting to the first level.

One day we got up to watch the sun rise over the city and it was wonderful wandering through the piazzas and streets before anyone else was about. I absolutely love Italy and as cherin knows Italian policemen.

Hmm and definitely a birthday treat for richteas husband, dance!!

Know that feeling Pixie when you want to sit down and watch a good film and dear little DS insists on Frozen or Ice Age for the umpteenth time.

Although someone introduced him to the Book of Life recently which is at least interesting and beautiful to watch too.

Afternoon... My head hurts self inflicted- I never learn.

I loved the Saddlers Wells books! I've never met anyone who read them.

Have totally got caught up in a 50 shades ff. not the one I linked too yesterday( that will take days to read) it's quite sad in the first few chapters I nearly stopped reading it! But have steadied myself and am reading on.

Going to put bunk beds together shortly. If it's on news later that a woman has stabbed her hubby it's me!!!! I told asked him to get his dad to help but he in his better wisdom has decided I'm a better assistant....

Must confess, I've been taken up the Empire State Building, on more than one occasion!

orphan I adored Little Women as a teenager, you've brought back distant memories with the mention of it. Think I must have read and re-read it about 20 times. Love the film adaptation too.

Gosh ladies, those Sadler's Wells book and the Noel Streatfeild ones really take me back. I think she did one called "Thursday's Child" which I loved. Must check it out again.

I got it wrong yesterday - sorry - when I said we'd not heard from Lola and I wondered if she'd smuggled CJ away in her boat. Yes, he's with Lola at the moment (we hope) but it's Nipper who's the sailing person, so apologies for that.

Just had amazing baby cuddles. Broody with a capital B, although I am so not going there! It's my friend's first baby and she is still in the shell shocked stage where she didn't quite realise how much a newborn cries. Glad I'm not back in that place! Baby is only 3 days old, and has that beautiful newborn smell

I could totally get used to these naps, I haven't slept so much in years. DS is shouting at his dad so I had better get up and intervene.

I'm trying to resist clambering into our full to the rafters attic (or to be more accurate, sending dp up there) to try and locate my old Sadler's Wells books. As for Little Women, I remember loathing Amy with a passion and throwing the book across my bedroom when she marries Laurie. I felt completely betrayed as a reader!

Now need to tackle the ironing pile...

Just read the doctors A/N ilove my mum had that saying if you can't say anything nice etc ...so I shall decline to comment other than it must be dark up there! like you I like the green stuff story

Evening all! Interesting, I just tried to access the new Klipdoctor story and computer says 'no'. Its saying it can't be located although its showing. Any chance its being edited as your cryptic comments suggest there was something on there that might be a bit negative. I'm guessing it will come back up again soon.

On the subject of greenstuff I have a vision of a lady sitting at her computer eighteen hours a day whilst being fed food and liquid refreshment at regular intervals. I think she once said something about her husband cooking the dinners to help her out. She does turn out her stories at an awe inspiring rate and is always ready with a new one when one finishes. Quite amazing!

I think greenstuff said that she has the story written before she uploads it which is something I wish I had the sense to do. Even so, she still has a prolific output

You're right rhubarb, when I think of greenstuff, I imagine somebody who can exist on little to no sleep or food, just writing constantly. I have no idea how she does it! Fair play to her though, it's all good quality and I've enjoyed all of her stories.

Makes sense pixie, although I lack the patience to write an entire story and then publish it. I can sometimes do bits of future chapters then fill in blanks, but there's no way could I do the whole thing in advance.

Yes, I agree. However she writes it it still must take a lot of time. I suppose she's writing the next one while uploading new chapters each day. Actually, that also takes a lot of enthusiasm. Everyone gets a bit sick and tired of their story at some point. So that's real dedication to the cause.

Also, interesting to hear that RT has Our Girl listed as undecided. I wonder if the BBC is hanging on a bit to determine if there's enough of a market and demand to produce another series they then know they can sell on. I think TG still wants to do it or he'd probably say no more about it and just go off to his next project.

Just on Twitter TG has sent a script to a bride to be on her hen do. She looks to be wearing the Molly date dress too.
