At the risk of somebody assuming this is a euphemism, I'm not sure about the model's poker in the picture! Was it necessary?

Please don't make him wear those silly pumps with the kilt. I know it's not traditional but I think kilts look better with boots.

I won't be looking at his feet when we're eating pixie!

Maybe not ilove bit the thought of him looking like an extra from Brigadoon will cool your ardour a little.

There will be so many envious glances thrown in our direction that I can turn a blind eye to the shoes!

I guess it's mainly up to Jen as well because he will be so much more on show at the wedding she's going to. I think our restaurant is quite dark inside - atmospheric! Is it shoes or boots Jen?

Depends how far away he will be sitting. If my foot will stretch that far...... there won't be any need to look!

What ice said ^. I'm not fussed about the shoes - only time it will affect me is when playing footsie under the table. My DH has those shoes pix for when he wears his kilt, and they're a total pain in the arse. CJ might not like them, although I'll happily go down there and help him out lace them up for him

Oh no that model's not selling kilts to me. He looks as if he's an aran cardigan and slacks wearer. I'm sure CJ will pull a kilt off with more panache if I haven't already pulled it off

Anyone else watched Anzac Girls on More4? I liked it, lots of 'dashing' young men in uniform and strong female roles-WW1 drama

pixie your latest chapter is amazing. How you have written Smurf is just brilliant, most of the ff's make him a ... not sure of the word ... maybe, desperate ... which he was, and disillusioned, but he's young and with the aneurysm too (was that right) you have to kind of feel a bit sorry for him too. But you have written this so well, you can feel the emotion ... .waffled on a bit there, but hopefully it makes a little bit of sense (and that is why i won't ever be writing ff!!!)

All this Rhubarb talk is still making me jumpy more pies, crumble (yummy, though). I'm sure I once saw a recipe for Rhubarb syllabub - I'm not kidding!

The film is due for release on Friday. What's the betting he's on Graham Norton too.
