Josh lost his family in a house fire didn't he? I think I remember his daughter dying in Resus.

That's right he was on duty that night too.

He developed a drinking or gambling problem (possibly both) after. Charlie sorted him out though. I think he went to Another Country to live after he'd met a woman.

not sure why they brought her back 6/8 yrs later

if a patient wants to die then doctors shouldnt be punished for helping them, you put down ill pets to save them pain, yet cant with humans :(

Omg! Why did Rita remove the pills?

Report
Girlwithnotattoos · 25/04/2015 22:19

Rita did it, of course she did she hates comnie.

Surely when they do the post mortem they'll discover that the amount of the drug in his system was consistent with what Connie claimed to have given him? He was on the brink of death anyway, so I doubt that Rita had anything to do with that.

But I agree it has to be the end of Connie's career, given that she's admitted to stealing prescription drugs and administering them to someone without authorisation. I do hope they don't try to skate over that.

SoupDragon · 26/04/2015 08:29

I think he died of natural causes too. I would have thought the blood test Rita ordered would have shown the levels of the drug were too low.

SoupDragon · 26/04/2015 08:30

Rita has overstepped the line now though. She had the moral high ground before.

Who moved the tablets ? Rita ?

Report
Redglitter · 26/04/2015 20:42

I'm liking Rita less and less every week. I wish they'd get shot of her

Report
moggiek · 26/04/2015 22:59

Yes, Rita took the tablets out of the drawer when she saw that only two were missing.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/04/2015 23:03

I missed that bit. Naughty !

Just caught up. Ridiculous thing for Rita to do

Report
Oodear · 27/04/2015 06:49

I thought she took them so the police wouldn't find them and they'd have no proof that Connie had the meds to give him? As in trying to hide evidence to help,

Not reporting it would be a stackable offence surely? And I don't like Charlie and Tess taking the moral high ground over it.
(Not a fan of Rita but this story has too many unclear holes in it)

Police were crap interviewing staff. Asking if a senior consultant earnt enough for flights to NYC ? Nhs payscales are out there to look at! £30k isn't a big payment to someone on Connies sort of money.

Not sure if Rita was trying to cover up for Connie by taking the pills out of her desk, having had an attack of guilt in the staff room when everyone was talking about the arrest an' all, OR if she knew that the pills were Connie's only chance of proving that she only gave Alfie two from the packet.

This isn't fair, I don't watch Casualty so I'll have to think, they usually lay it on with a trowel so you can practically see a great big arrow over someone's head with the words "Next victim" on Grin. (Actually it's odd, if any other programme did that I'd be ranting at the telly but for some reason it makes Casualty sort of comforting Hmm).

Report
Moln · 27/04/2015 19:49

Actually that might make sense, as I thought she had a change of heart due to something red head nurse said (name escapes me?). At the time she thought Connie had given the overdose, so was removing the evidence and didn't realise there were only two gone. Now she's actually removed the evidence of Connies innocence.

Which in reality the bloods would show....

Robyn that's the name

Did Rita look at the tablets before she took them?

Report
calzone · 27/04/2015 21:44

I thought the tablets were proof that Connie hadn't overdosed him.

Rita removed them to set Connie up for murder.

Report
SoupDragon · 27/04/2015 22:12

I thought she looked at them and realised that not enough had been taken to have killed Alfred. However, I think at that point she realised that
Connie was innocent of his murder but had to take them as she was found by Charlie and the police. I do wonder if her original intention was to remove them to help Connie though.

Report
Moln · 27/04/2015 22:13

I should have paid more attention!!!

Rita deliberately went to remove the tablets when she knew that the police were in to find them. What was her reason?!

Report
calzone · 27/04/2015 22:14

I think she set Connie up!

Why would she go to remove them when as far as she was aware they would prove Connie guilty? She didn't know until she looked that there were only a couple missing.

Report
Oodear · 28/04/2015 06:58

Soupdragon put it so much clearer than I did Grin

So what was Connies aim then if not to kill him? Or did she bottle it?

And I'm with Pixel. I like the arrows pointing to baddy!

Rita is a cow

Connie is a cow

Charlie thinks he's a vicar -would someone in connie's position, who is absolutely insistent on professional distance, really use his as a confidant?

Can't stand Cal

Robyn still acts like she's a student nurse -come on, she must have been doing it 3 or 4 years by now, where's the confidence?

Can't stand Noel

Please tell me honey isn't coming back

Zoe and Dylan aren't in it enough

Don't know why I watch it really Wink
