This Romania thing is boring, I couldn't care less about Louis.

I want old Casualty back, when there would be four or five different stories and you never knew who was going to get it!

Never been interested in the private lives of the staff.

Bimblepops · 16/05/2015 21:41

Bloody hell, not sure I can cope with a whole episode of Charlie and his dreadful acting.

SoupDragon · 16/05/2015 21:42

Could Charlie look any more out of place?

catlovingdoctor · 16/05/2015 21:45

Wonder how long it'll take for Connie to start shagging the Romanian doctor..

MissWimpyDimple · 16/05/2015 21:47

Charlie is the most wooden actor in history.
He does an annoying "avert eyes and sigh" in every possible situation. Casualty has become a massive joke and its such a shame. I used to love it Hmm

Redglitter · 16/05/2015 21:47

Hate these episodes. Take us back to Holby

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/05/2015 21:50

So it has been missing for a week and now this crap

Mrsderekshepard · 16/05/2015 21:55

Connie might cheer up abit now she's had a bit Wink

Bimblepops · 16/05/2015 22:01

They've obviously been on a mass recruitment drive for hammy over-actors this week. Absolutely dreadful...

Bunbaker · 17/05/2015 09:14

I didn't enjoy this episode either, yet it gets the heads up in the Radio Times this week.

SoupDragon · 17/05/2015 09:53

I wasn't paying attention at the end - did Charlie deliberately run the Bad Man's car off the road?

Bunbaker · 17/05/2015 10:24

Yes he did. I thought the story was ridiculous and so full of holes that I lost interest.

SoupDragon · 17/05/2015 10:37

Thanks. I thought he had from the expression on his face but it is so similar to his "disappointed with you" face and, well, all other expressions.

Icimoi · 17/05/2015 11:54

I gave up on it after 20 minutes. I decided I really didn't care about Louis, whether Connie was going to shag the doctor, or anything else, and I wasn't in the least interested in finding out what happened.

M1SSUNDERSTOOD · 17/05/2015 15:42

Spoiler alert if you haven't seen it but the operation scene was farcical when the Romanian doctor turned out to not so altruistic! And Connie getting stuck in while Charlie and the Romanian escort girl lurked outside. Also how did the hire car arrive at the Romanian docs house when Connie had taken a taxi there the previous night?

Optimist1 · 17/05/2015 16:00

Agree, it was pants last night, and sadly looked as though we've got more of the Romanian Adventure to come. Bring back proper Casualty, where we can take bets on what injury is going to occur in the first few minutes (Scene : man using chain saw. Zoom to chain saw buzzing. Change shot to man's face; pan out; zoom in to his thigh. Chain saw. Thigh. Chain saw.....)!

Icimoi · 17/05/2015 16:26

Optimist1, in that scenario I would confidently bet that there wasn't going to be any chain saw accident. They like to string you along like that. My bet would be on the chain saw man's wife having a heart attack.

badRoly · 17/05/2015 18:54

Icimoi or the chainsaw man's neighbour falling through an open window while looking out at chain saw man...

DeckSwabber · 17/05/2015 19:41

Casualty gets madder and madder.

Didn't Charlie end up looking after his grandchild full-time after Louis dumped his pregnant alcoholic girlfriend and girlfriend ran off?

So where is the baby now?

Lottiedoubtie · 17/05/2015 22:19

Just caught up.. yes utter crap. We don't care about Louis. 'Connie and Charlie investigate' is farcical- what do they know about surviving in this situation/even finding Louis. The rogue 'charitable' doctor seduces Connie- also ridiculous although not as ridiculous as her walking in to an operation and 'saving the day' without even scrubbing up. The depiction of Romania is pretty suspect as well...

and yet I'm still watching Grin Ponders how bad it'd have to get...

Moln · 19/05/2015 21:54

Just watched.

I slightly hope Dr Alex would come to Holby A&E. Suppose he still could.

Totally agree I want the old Causlty back, the format with the build up if several story lines was Caualty. Nothing else is any good, and it's been ages since they did that.

Pixel · 19/05/2015 23:02

How awful was that? It must have cost the BBC a fortune to film a lot of Romanian buildings to add in to the other bits that could have been filmed in a cupboard in the studio for all we'd have known.
They threw every cliché possible in didn't they, what with Connie shedding a tear as she tended to street orphans and the policeman sighing as he grudgingly looked up Louis' address. I thought Connie deserved a slap when she waded into someone else's hospital shouting her CV at people before she'd even spoken to Louis or found out what treatment he'd had. So rude!

I don't care one jot about dreadful Louis either, nor do I care about 'putting the job before offspring' angst.

Must admit I didn't see what happened in the end either because I'd zoned out by then and started playing an escape the room game Blush.

Oodear · 20/05/2015 07:14

I think I fell asleep watching as I was watching it after a night out on Saturday and some of this doesn't sound familiar Blush though am not inspired to rewatch , bring back the chainsaw!
