Finally back in the house and after getting dc to bed, have headed in here first and settling down in the CoS. ,Ahhhh bliss.
Horrid journey home, massive accident on M27 had closed eastbound and whole of Soton was snarled up. We were within 0.3 miles of home, going nowhere and made the bad decision to turn around and go into to town to feed dc. Once we'd committed we then decided to check the traffic
Neville - another reason why we must catch up with Bluestone 42.
Wellcome - been on my to do list for quite a while, must get to it. The Forensic science exhibition sounds great.
Must i-player the Tom Felton thing and hope to god I don't recognise any of the fans (HP was my first proper fandom but I thought my little corner was relatively sane)
We did a fantastic history curriculum in third year secondary. It was thematic over the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and we looked at stuff such as education (so charity schools, Sunday schools, through to Butler Education Act and the new universities in the 60s), medicine (Jenner, Pasteur etc through to Flemming), housing, welfare/charity (poor law, work houses through to the Beveridge Report and the foundation of the welfare state). I thought it was brilliant but my parents were completely bamboozled by it as it wasn't all kings and queens.
Right, off to interact with DH.
