Morning all. Great pics as always. At the docs at 7.15. Really like the early appointments as I don't need to go into work late and the roads are quieter too. Everything in good working order apparently.

Lovely day here so must go for a walk at lunchtime.

Strong coffee as well as the matchsticks icemist?

Richtea19 · 10/03/2015 08:11

Strong coffee is a good plan! I crashed out last night with no time for FF!
AT cockerpoo fans he is being interviewed on Chris Evans breakfast show radio 2 this morning. !!
Lovely pictures as always ^icemist*

Rhubarb01 · 10/03/2015 08:15

Quick drop in before school run. Forgot to mention BS42 last night. Thought there were some overtones of OG! Without giving away anything for those who haven't seen it will just say curious to see how the plot develops given the changes from series 1 and 2. Did giggle a bit in a some places - very dark humour but agree it seemed a tad more serious. Have a good day everyone. I will try to stay away today and not obsess on grammar rules!

BK28 · 10/03/2015 08:18

AT is on Chris Evans ...interesting!!

Ilovelblue · 10/03/2015 08:22

I'm listening to AT and they are already discussing series 2! Why or why did they never interview BA after OG first aired!? Maybe Chris Evans never watched it but is a fan of Poldark?

BK28 · 10/03/2015 08:34

ilove Could it be that the budget for Poldark is bigger so they have to get a return! Plus they didn,'t put OG on the front cover of Radio Times! His voice doesn't have the same warm timbre as CJ...know where my heart lies!!

orphan · 10/03/2015 09:00

Morning. Dd poorly and off school -there's a tummy bug doing the rounds.

Caught up with the ff over my coffee and wow, what a treat! Smile

jen I had a little moisture in my eyes reading the last few paragraphs. It brought back the joy and wonder of my first ultrasound many moons ago. You writing is so assured. Just fab.

nipper don't know why but I hadn't thought of a headship so was really excited when I realised that was what CJ was going to be. Loved it!

whajeb a very affecting chapter. I really felt for Molly - Smurf is so oblivious. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

cjwoofwoof · 10/03/2015 09:07

Damn! Missed Chris Evans interview. Thanks for the heads up Richtea but I've now missed every one of your tipoffs - One Show, Graham Norton now Chris Evans. Good invention, Catch Up, so at least I can see/listen eventually. I'm not usually this slow, humph!

orphan · 10/03/2015 09:07

I think there are about twelve Poldark books, so plenty of scope for further series! The beeb def seems to be pushing it as their 'big one'. There's been so much publicity for AT.

I can't help imagining BA in the role - galloping across the cliff tops (remember he lists riding on his CV), Cornish grime and tousled curls (no guinea pig thank you), thrusts against the wall... Oops, getting confused with the AT vid and my own fevered imagination.Blush

orphan · 10/03/2015 09:10

I like the actress playing Demelza. Gorgeous hair. If I was in it I'd be playing Phil Davis' other half...

cjwoofwoof · 10/03/2015 09:12

Ooh CJ bareback riding across the moors just holding a clump of mane and gripping with thighs. He'd look good on a horse too Grin

cjwoofwoof · 10/03/2015 09:14

Ditto orphan I've got the teeth to play Prudey as well as the figure and dress sense

percyjackson1 · 10/03/2015 09:15

I'd be playing Phil Davis or the goat..re Jen's last, the tune blasting in ears whilst reading the last bit does really make you feel the joy!

orphan · 10/03/2015 09:24

OK we've got the main characters covered: Poldark, Phil Davis, Prudey (woof and I will take it in turns), and the goat. Who amongst us would be Demelza and Elizabeth? Is it rhubarb who has red hair? If so, she's a dead cert for Demelza.

Oh by the way, slight script change - Prudey gets off with Poldark behind the dung heap.

percyjackson1 · 10/03/2015 09:41

And she is familiar with the ins and out of frontal adverbials (ahem) Is Poldark likely to end up with Dung heap in his hair a cornish version of afghan grime?

orphan · 10/03/2015 09:52

Yes and will obviously need a thorough head to toe wash by Prudey (Prudey by name but not by nature).

Ilovelblue · 10/03/2015 10:14

I am the one with red hair!

Rhubarb01 · 10/03/2015 10:18

I didn't last long and I was going to say its not me with red hair I believe it is Ilove and you have confirmed that. Would love to be Demelza but probably more likely to be the aging grandma or Aunt at Uncle Charles house. Although, I'd be willing to play Verity (the original one - not this one - sorry Ruby Bentall, I think she should be a bit more mature. I always thought she was older than Ross). I always loved the name and wanted to call my first DD that but DH said "No!". DD is probably grateful as well!

I expect AT was on Chris Evans because guess who the demographic for this show is? Yes, I believe it could be US!

Ilovelblue · 10/03/2015 10:30

orphan I am sure when BA was interviewed on the radio after the series finished in October (not sure if it was the Radio 1 thing or one of the better ones later that day) he said during his career he had learned to ride a horse which had proved useful! So we could re-cast him which would bring him back to the UK.

icemistOBE · 10/03/2015 10:32

On his showreel there's footage of him horseriding

OP posts:
orphan · 10/03/2015 11:08

Oops sorry ilove and rhubarb! Anyway ilove you'd be perfect cos she is of the small iceberg variety!

And yes, BA is a good rider.Wink

icemistOBE · 10/03/2015 11:24

Looks like BA's agency re getting quicker at things, the have his role on the pilot show, already listed

Love to know has he already filmed it or due to film it soon.

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 10/03/2015 11:44

orphan don't suppose any of us would object to a ride with BA!!

orphan · 10/03/2015 12:12

When I've finished Wolf Hall (so probably a few years time) I think I'll read Poldark, or at least the first one. If the tv show is anything to go by then it should be a good rollicking read. I never saw the old version - don't know why.

icemistOBE · 10/03/2015 13:03

emmm, has anyone else's CJ photo disappeared from the very 1st post, there the FF authors are listed? I'm pretty sure I added one
