Very quiet tonight ... Are you all watching Muskateers?
Just discovered littlie playing her leap pad on bed ... She's 5!!! She's in big trouble! So, will undoubtedly end with me asleep on her floor, before she is!

Rhubarb01 · 20/03/2015 22:25

Yes nickel was watching the Musketeers! Its almost at an end and they've suddenly wheeled out lots of plot! I can't believe it started just after Christmas and its still on! Mind you they'e missed lots of weeks. Part of my viewing consisted of assessing who's got the best trousers and boots. Much as I like Aramis I think his trouser boots arrangement is pants - that'll be 'play pants' probably!

orphan · 20/03/2015 22:43

I'm going out on a limb again here, but I don't see the appeal of the musketeers and I don't like their costumes at all. Seems to be a lot of dingy brown leatherette. No match for low slung combats.

Nickel45 · 20/03/2015 22:53

I'm with you on that orphan, give me low slung combats any day of the week!

Wow! what a difference a day can make!! Have just stopped laughing!! Loving the madness of it all!!

Just checking back in and find that I've missed out on playpants - mooj where on earth did you find those?

The ongoing saga of Poldark's equine fancy - cjwoof and organ brilliant!

ilove great poster - As CJ's Close Protection Officer I will ensure he is manhandled escorted through the various areas of the airport to be passed safely into your hands.

Lovely movie clips ice Just love that little smile CJ does after the kiss!!

nickel good luck with Cub Camp!! Just completed our final planning for ours in May, hopefully a bit warmer!!

Thanks thread for that reminder!!

BK28 · 20/03/2015 22:59

nice shots nickel low slung combats and hands on the hips!!!

Muskrats are quite watchable ...like the twinkle in their eyes and a bit of swashbuckling!! But CJ and those brown eyes does it every time!

orphan · 20/03/2015 23:01

Heehee BK28 was there anything in particular on your mind when you wrote my name?!!Grin

Oh yes icemist, in the end it doesn't matter how desperately Rupert and PG plead to be first in my affections, it will always be CJ.

Rhubarb01 · 20/03/2015 23:28

I can see that I gave the wrong impression when I said I was assessing the various merits of the musketeers trousers and boots. I must have given the impression that I liked them. I'm actually fascinated for all the wrong reasons by the little ankle boots things and the trousers that flap around the top of the boots - a sort of mid-calf sailors bell bottom design. Porthos and D'Artangnan seem to have more of a full length trouser arrangement. This is sounding more like the sewing bee now. I totally agree that they cannot compete with low-slung combats!

Also I have finally realised this week who the King reminds me of and its Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen - Hair, voice, foppish dress sense, mannerisms etc.

Ilovelblue · 20/03/2015 23:59

Looking forward to working with you BK28! Just over a week to go till CJ and pixie return... and Mr Pixie of course.

BK28 · 21/03/2015 01:10

orphan apologies for that slip of the tongue as they would say!

I love just making sure my manhandling escorting techniques are up to scratch in preparation... Waiting out for close manoeuvres!!

rhub can't say with muskrats I'm watching the footwear there are some lovely eyes, but not quite up to CJ's!!

Nickel45 · 21/03/2015 07:08

Eek, early start, and apparently a six hour hike with no mobile signal. Can I change my mind?! Need a bit of CJ shouting to get me motivated (if he wasn't in Kenya he could have come and carried me my bags). Still, lovely sunny day. Have a good day everyone :)

icemistOBE · 21/03/2015 07:26

Morning

I'd usually say enjoy nickel but without CJ to spur you on I don't think it will be much fun

Work today, youngest off to see Bury play courtesy of comp tickets from his school.

And a new chapter on Learning The Ropes

Morning
Early start was that due to the 'little bleeders' not realising they were supposed to stay in their pits? Enjoy the hike! nickel Be prepared and do your best!

Great wakeup pictures ice and to top it a ff update...trying to save it for later!!??

orphan · 21/03/2015 08:42

Good morning! Lovely pics icemist. I feel a need to watch the "What's so f*ing funny about Charles?" bit followed by a quick cabbage/napkin clip.

Have fun nickel. As a child I used to imagine I had a horse (and no, it def wasn't Darkie/woof) running alongside the car if we were on a journey, or I was riding it if we were on a walk. An imaginary CJ would be an equally lovely companion on your hike and it's up to you if you want to ride him...!

orphan · 21/03/2015 08:46

Gosh, feeling very nostalgic about my horse companion now. Am meeting friends and going for a walk later this morning, so might resurrect him and 'trot' on up to them. (He was called Midnight by the way)

Nickel45 · 21/03/2015 09:13

Think I prefer an imaginary CJ, orphan but might have to imagine riding him to get me through

Ilovelblue · 21/03/2015 09:27

Don't think my day is going to be anywhere near as exciting as most of yours. Off to get my ingrowing toenail sorted in a little while, then need to whizz into town to get a leaving present for somebody who goes next Friday. Laura Ashley have a 30% sale on so may be tempted inside for a quick look. My elderly friend is making a rare visit this afternoon with an early birthday present for me but I know what will happen. She will turn up then immediately say "I can't stay long". She was most put out that I am busy all next weekend and couldn't entertain her then and made a sarcastic comment about me never being in or some such rubbish. If conversation flags, I may show her the restaurant scene from OG as she knows all about Bailbrook House, that we sat at The Table and that my friend didn't realise it had been organised in advance.

Richtea19 · 21/03/2015 10:03

Morning all, good luck nickel with your adventure! Hope you survive and ilove hope the toe is ok :( sounds painful.

James McAvoy didn't disappoint last night. Fantastic play and we were two rows back, the trafalgar studios are very small so it proved to be very interment with JMcV spitting all over the front row! Plenty of wine consumed which was a bit of a nightmare as DH kindly booked a 9am vets apt for Barney the cat!

A day at home today, massive ironing pile and thick dust everywhere. DS1 is in Lincoln running, Ds2 out with friends. DH working, so I think OG soundtrack is in order when I'm scrubbing the house!

KeziaOAP · 21/03/2015 10:57

Morning all. Great pics ice to start the day and thank you for the fantastic clips yesterday

Nickel enjoy your hike hope the weather stays good and the blisters stay away.

Ilove good luck with toenail procedure, reckon you'll need a good sit down before whizzing into town.

New ff, don't think I can resist til later........

BK28 · 21/03/2015 12:05

jen thanks for the lovely update! Any writer's block certainly doesn't come over in the way you express their emotions! You are fantastic at drawing in your readers!
Hope you have all recovered from the bug now. Take care x

LovingTheBritActors · 21/03/2015 12:20

Hi eveyone. Taken a while to catch up on the thread. ICEMIST loving the biting lip clip and the wonderful daily pictures. All the recent ff is amazing and though I have finished Memories and Dreams I think I will need to add last chapter.
Love these two and started to watch series again.
I am up for the tour but would love a preview with CJ, though he may be very exhausted already!!!

LovingTheBritActors · 21/03/2015 12:53

Can anyone let me know where I can read Jake's Secret. Thanks

Mumtothenipper · 21/03/2015 13:00

jen and lola fantastic updates this morning, thank you. I had a mountain of work to get through before I could sit and read them, they were well worth the wait!!!!
