I see our minds on the 'fronted adverbials' are already in sync. Could require description in the handbook.

cjwoofwoof · 09/03/2015 14:41

Well I for one wouldn't mind sitting on Poldark's frontal adverb

orphan · 09/03/2015 14:42

And in my rule book, fronted adverbials should never be used sparingly. The more, the better.

Rhubarb01 · 09/03/2015 14:47

I should be gone but just in case anyone wants their illusions shattered the link below explains all."Cor, you don't 'alf learn a lot on 'ere." (best MD accent)

www.theschoolrun.com/what-are-fronted-adverbials

orphan · 09/03/2015 15:28

Hmm rhubarb, let's hope Rupert isn't a grammar expert then, cos they're definitely not the sort of fronted adverbials that I'll be suggesting.

icemistOBE · 09/03/2015 15:33

My head hurts after reading 2 sentences on that link. I don't remember learning those at school Confused

Onlygirljen · 09/03/2015 16:03

I fear that more than rupert's head will hurt after cjwoof and orphan have had a go on his frontal adverbials well I suppose it's a head of sorts Grin

LolaKent14 · 09/03/2015 16:04

Think I might throw in the towel now...

Onlygirljen · 09/03/2015 16:55

Aw jeez, after mentioning to a friend that I enjoyed perving on AT last night, she sent me a tumblr link doing the rounds which (as the comments say) is definitely not safe for work or my ovaries.

I repeat DO NOT WATCH IF YOU HAVE COMPANY. He loses his clothes quicker than cjwoof would in an army surplus store Grin

icemistOBE · 09/03/2015 16:59

Now we know what happened when CJ shut the door after Molly turned up Grin Blush Shock

Onlygirljen · 09/03/2015 17:02

The thought did occur to me ice!! BlushGrin

Now that would have been a DVD extra!!

percyjackson1 · 09/03/2015 17:06

So Jen's metaphor as a fronted adverbial would be:

'In an army surplus store, he loses his clothes quicker than CJWoof'

Weirdly I didn't ask DS1 to check this...

Hi Ladies Smile

A weekend away from here leaves plenty to catch up on!
From a R/L of Cub Scout Challenges, being a Help Bureau re washing for DS at uni, a morning of teenagers who have not/ or unlikely to work for their GCSE's, am now escaping back to normal!! For any of you who are about to enter the dark phase that is exams - there is a light at the end of the tunnel, it's just it might not feel like it!!

Have to say that it is still CJ in fatigues that soo does it for me!! At least the queue is friendly, no green on green!! AT certainly doesn't quite match up to the Musketeers - don't mind if I do, if we have to weigh up the opposition!

Being an undercover OG is probably a greater affliction than we all know!!! Lucky that I have supportive work colleagues who have declared the obsession interest with CJ and OG is very much due the menopause, but one, who borrowed the DVD, and is now more than willing to drive around the local garrison town on the watch out for any low slung combats!!! Did however have an awkward Ditto moment, when a male colleague used it on a Skype call - not nice!!
DH is aware of the constant need to check the FF site, but not actually what I'm reading. However he did wonder what had caused the download limit to be exceeded? Pleaded ignorance - Didn't understand what he was on about!! Have told him about MN, he was concerned over my outbursts of laughing - can't own up to posting though!! Got to have some guilty pleasures. On that note BS42 is back tonight, Yeah!!

Have now caught up on the latest ff eps, what can I say!!
jen please take as many chapters as you want to tell this tale, certainly don't rush to bring it to a close, it needs every emotion, on every level, to be wrung out that you can. It is really brilliant!!
nipper fantastic setting, looking forward to watching it unfurl.

Local farm shop is selling Spode Whisky Glasses & Decanter with a very classy Stag engraving - Just thought it was a thing the James' in Bath would have! Oh you could also get a cake knife and bottle stopper with a silver stags head... I just stopped and had a good chuckle when I saw them!

pixieg1rl · 09/03/2015 17:09

I'm looking forward to getting home to a throughly broken in Mr Pixie when I get home cjwoof. Show him no mercy, he's in no way up to you usual standards.

orphan · 09/03/2015 17:10

Pity they didn't put the big ceiling light on. I had problems making out the full details.Grin

orphan · 09/03/2015 17:11

That comment refers to the AT vid by the way.Smile

LolaKent14 · 09/03/2015 18:20

OMG had to pour a glass of wine after that vid!!!

icemistOBE · 09/03/2015 18:32

I'm expecting a similar scene for jens next QS in her FF

OP posts:
BK28 · 09/03/2015 18:53

Wow jen that one doesn't need any fronted adverbials, as they say action speak louder than words!

I would hope that CJ would have at least got Molly out of that cold draughty hall way with cold tiles!!

cjwoofwoof · 09/03/2015 20:29

Ooh jen I'm saving that AT vid until everyone's gone to bed and I can watch properly, probably several times, in slow motion, just for research purposes to see if he's up to fireside wrestling standards. Course I already know he is but its nice to have a cliffhanger...

cjwoofwoof · 09/03/2015 20:33

Btw orphan forgot to say vis a vis AT being a weasel, I'm afraid at certain points in the show last night the hair was more cockapoo than polecat, but I STILL wouldn't say no Grin

Rhubarb01 · 09/03/2015 20:53

Now what did I say about a comb?

As I recall the lovely Robin Ellis used to wear his hair tied at the back with a manly bow. I don't think I spotted any of those last night. Perhaps that would have been in order.

Speighty33 · 09/03/2015 20:58

Evening ladies, jut checking in after the weekend. Jen - oh my - ditto that Icemist! If only we got to see CJ in action like that :) Jen - fab new chapter (Newish). I get soo excited when you post a new chapter, sad but true.

Mumtothenipper · 09/03/2015 21:06

jen what an update... Love this story! I think I hold my breath the whole time I'm reading. I don't want it to ever end, but I already can't wait to go back and read it through in one go when it does. Very clever the way you split the story telling, you naughty lady, had me seriously questioning my judgement about what I thought you were going it have Molly do. And what a beautiful letter, there should be more love letters in my life!

Speighty33 · 09/03/2015 21:10

Ooh Jen another new chapter, I was referencing chapter 10. Off to read it now :)
