Oh what fab updates to our favourite stories! Just sitting with a cup of tea and the laptop, having seen off my elderly friend who, just as I expected, came in and said she couldn't stay long. Jen, you've upgraded the smut level, lovely!!

The elderly friend was telling me a tale which ended with the "and you can't access the internet from work, it's not allowed!" I said I didn't have a problem at work, in fact they were quite generous with it, but she argued it's against the rules. Not sure whose rules, maybe her daughter's company are more strict. She seemed not to be able to distinguish between online shopping on the internet and downloading porn! Hahahaha.

Of course, if only she knew about this thread, the ff, the diaries, the CJ tour....... Wonder what she'd have made of mooj's playpants!!?

Toenail now sorted. When I had to have it removed following an accident on board a cruise ship, it doesn't seem to have grown back quite as it should and I've had to have it treated a few times since then. At least nobody has suggested removing it again (that was a pretty horrible experience especially as I had a 300 mile drive north from Southampton straight afterwards. I had gone on the cruise with my Bailbrook friend who doesn't drive, so there was nothing else for it but to drive home).

Off out to work in the garden now. Think the lawn could do with its first cut of the season.

Painted every time I look out of the kitchen window at this early flowering cherry, it makes me think of you!

Gosh it's been quiet on here today. I'm loving the prospect of new FF to read and sounds like some QS from jen!!!

I've a very productive day today, boring stuff like iorning, but I also had my sewing machine out (measuring tape too!) and I've knocked myself up a dress for work! The beauty of making something yourself if that it fits! And not above the knee!

moojangles · 21/03/2015 18:30

Do the playpants qualify me as wardrobe 'mistress' on the tour? Otherwise I think only roadie or resident groupie for me!

RL OG fanfriend loved the lip biting clip.

Amazing ff updates & some much needed(by me anyway!) QS from mistress jen

apsara03 · 21/03/2015 18:44

Hello ladies. RL been getting the way big time have been skimming the posts. Sitting down for the first time today hoping to have a catch up on ff. beautiful cherry blossom. I love cherry trees, I bought a cherry tree for the garden a few years ago but doesn't seem to be doing much

icemistOBE · 21/03/2015 18:59

They are my favourite ilove you can go to Japan and see the bloom season there is an area near Mt. Yoshino where there are 35,000 trees all in one place ...sorry a bit nerdy [sceptical] but very beautiful

Evening everyone just about getting time to lurk and skim read posts at the moment but enjoying non the less

Fab FF updates have had a go at starting to write some more Her Maj Service but slow going need to get back in the swing of things

Loving your moving pictures from Tumblr ice by the way...scrummy and genius all rolled into one Smile

Ilovelblue · 21/03/2015 19:44

Painted I think your name is a clue that you must like cherry blossom! I take it you've been to Japan?

This one is actually a contorted cherry - which makes me think it's more of a pixie or a Jen, knowing they do fairly graphic smut!

mooj can add you to the team of stylists by all means. It's quite clearly the most popular role in the group! No idea why. Wink

Paintedcherryblossoms · 21/03/2015 20:42

Yep ilove but 10 years ago now

Rhubarb01 · 21/03/2015 21:34

Hi everyone

Very quiet day on here. I wondered if anyone could help with this one. For complicated reasons my DD is taking some friends to see Insurgent tomorrow and doesn't want dear old mum present in the cinema (I don't want to see it anyway - so there!) however, I have to hang around to drop off, collect etc. I don't mind going to see another film on my own provided I don't have a single, bored man wearing 'play pants' sat next to me. I fancied seeing 'Suite Francaise' but the times don't fit in.

The only other option is 'Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'. Now, I haven't seen the first film and the only people I know who've seen the second are my parents (both OAP's) and they said it wasn't as good as the first one! Anyone seen either of these films? If I haven't see the first film will it matter? Any ideas if it is aimed at a slightly older audience - mind you its got Richard Gere, who's alright and I do always find Maggie Smith etc quite funny. Anyone got any advice on whether being a saddo, mummy no mates watching such a film will be a good or bad idea?

Rhubarb01 · 21/03/2015 21:39

I should correct that statement, saddo, mummy is probably true but I like to think of you all as my virtual mates!

Ilovelblue · 21/03/2015 21:45

Pleased to be called one of your virtual mates but you are really asking the wrong person about films. Other than "Paddington" with my nephew on Christmas Eve and then "Fifty Shades" a few weeks ago, I hadn't been to the cinema for nearly five years!

Loved your latest update by the way - enjoyed it with my evening coffee.

apsara03 · 21/03/2015 21:53

Loved the updates. Thanks. Wish CJ worked at my school, but then I'd be a nervous wreck and get absolutely no work done.
Haven't seen either film. Marigold hotel has a strong cast so hopefully a couple of hours of escapism even if not ideal choice

Rhubarb01 · 21/03/2015 22:12

I'll probably go and see it and I'll probably laugh once or twice. I'll let you all know. I don't get to the cinema much either Ilove to see anything I'd like. Its mostly been kids films. I quite liked the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films though, there's something to laugh at from a parent's perspective too. Actually my parents have been to see far more than me. They're always going to see the latest good films and my Dad's over 80 now. I'm a bit jealous.

Glad you liked the update. Thanks!

Nickel45 · 21/03/2015 22:25

Survived a 7 mile hike (should have been six, oops) with 7 activity stations, 7 cubs, one slightly embarrassing fall over followed by two hours of musical entrainment .... Now knackered, stink of wood smoke and every inch of me aches and not in a QS type of way to get home to DH telling me the shower isn't working properly. So, glass of baileys, bar of chocolate, read some ff (lovely, i have 7 new one to read ... seems to be a recurring number today!) and off to bed! :)

Rhubarb01 · 21/03/2015 22:34

I notice we're close to the end of this thread and I think Icemist said she had some ideas about a new name for thread 15.

Mumtothenipper · 21/03/2015 22:43

I saw the first film rhubarb and thought it was funny and sweet. (I only do nice films!).

If I could get to the cinema it would be one I'd be happy to see... (And I'm in my thirties). It'll be no our girl but it could be a nice bit of afternoon escapism...

Off to catch up on your update now... Really enjoying your story, I can't wait!

BK28 · 21/03/2015 22:43

rhu have seen second best marigold hotel it is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours good cast and nice scenery at times sentimental, but with some good laughs! It is the kind of movie you can feel comfortable seeing on your own!
You are being a good mum not a saddo one he is a lucky D's!!

Rhubarb01 · 21/03/2015 22:57

Thanks Nipper and BK I think I'll give it go and I expect I will enjoy it!

Ilovelblue · 21/03/2015 22:59

apsara my manager's boss, who I have started working with quite closely now, is really good looking and about my age too as well as being such a nice person. It's taken me a few weeks to be able to look him straight in the eye without blushing. I cannot begin to imagine how I would be with a CJ in my office. A blubbering menopausal wreck no doubt.

icemistOBE · 21/03/2015 23:06

Going to start new thread. Give me 2 mins
