As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

Melanie Hill is a very good actress. I remember her from the 90's football drama, Playing the Field, and as Cilla Black's mum in the recent ITV film.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 23/04/2015 08:38

Yes, she was great in Playing the Field, also Brassed Off. I never got into Bread.

woodhill · 23/04/2015 09:20

also Waterloo Road recently

ProfYaffle · 23/04/2015 09:42

I was really confused by the reference to her being in Bread til I realised that Aveline was played by 2 actresses and I' d stopped watching it by the time Melanie Hill was in it!

AgathaChristie01 · 23/04/2015 09:49

It is saying something when the most interesting thing to discuss in two weeks is the new door in Gail's kitchen.

They should have just pointed the cameras at that door, for the half hour. It would be more interesting than the ridiculous scenes with Callum and his silly looking 'gang'.

Ellenora5 · 23/04/2015 09:57

Aha, it's a door to the garage, thanks Agatha, never thought of that Smile

Yes Callums gang are truly terrifying aren't they Hmm they must have all gone to the school of really bad acting.

Housemum · 23/04/2015 10:17

Was Melanie Hill in Brookside too?

Gripper Stebson at Grange Hill was more scary than Callum and his gang.

AgathaChristie01 · 23/04/2015 11:01

I read it on the Digital Spy forum, Ellenora, the Platts ever expanding house causes a lot of discussion there Grin.
I hadn't noticed where Michael appeared from, with the cake, until you mentioned it. Smile
It was a really farcical episode, as was the previous one, indeed. David is capable of outdoing Callum, on all fronts, as we know from previous things he has done. Come on David, sort that lot out! Tiresome, drawn out storyline. Please scriptwriters, end it now.

TillyButton · 23/04/2015 11:16

Just logged in to say that Agatha .I totally agree.David needs to get back in touch with his evil side asapSmile

AgathaChristie01 · 23/04/2015 11:27

Exactly Tilly.
Plus Callum is the most unconvincing 'gangster' of all time.
He just stands around, making strange faces a lot of the time. I'd be more afraid of Emily or Norris Grin...

squoosh · 23/04/2015 11:30

At least the Fake Gav story will come to a head now Steph has blabbed.

MyBeloved · 23/04/2015 16:12

I thought Bread lady was from Waterloo Road?

confused

Pyjamaramadrama · 24/04/2015 07:45

I really don't think that Corrie know where they're going with the Gavin/Andy story, or the Callum/Max/David one.

I don't mind Callum too much but that horrible woman he hangs around with is beyond annoying and can't act one but, I want to punch the screen when she's on.

Has Corrie had new producers as it's just so terrible.

AgathaChristie01 · 24/04/2015 08:37

I agree, I think it's dragged so long that they haven't a clue how to finish it.

Southeastdweller · 24/04/2015 09:10

I just realised that my main gripe about Corrie is about the Platt family. It all started going wrong for Gail (and some viewers) when she got involved with the very dull Michael - I wish Les Dennis had never appeared in Corrie, or had kept to a guest appearance. Bethany is too O.T.T for me to take seriously and she looks the same ages as her mother. I also never liked the fact that Gail somehow lost the house to David - it still doesn't feel right to me that she's a lodger in that house. The old Gail never would have fell for Lewis's tricks and never would have got with a man who tried to burgle 'her' house.

Not looking forward to Kylie coming back next month, but the actress who plays her is great.

woodhill · 24/04/2015 09:39

also the expanding wall scenario in the Platts is annoying and where is all Sarah's luggage etc

the Milan sacking was a bit unbelievable. surely you would have a disciplinary procedure, EU legislation etc

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/04/2015 10:52

Sarah Lou was employed by Uncle Steven ( like Gail is employed by DS1 Nick )

So maybe if it's faaaaaaaamily you don't need to adhere to employment laws (They don't seem to bother with References and Training in soaps.)

Job behind the bar. Of course.
Job as a Nanny. No problem.
Mechanic. Changed a lightbulb? Yep, you'll do .

AgathaChristie01 · 24/04/2015 10:53

I agree. Every other scene takes place in the Platt house, and if not inside, guess what, there is the unconvincing 'gangster' Callum hovering outside the door. It should be renamed The Platt Family, at this stage.

eddiemairswife · 24/04/2015 12:03

Sarah can have a job at the hairdressing salon. She worked there when she left school.

MrsUltracrepidarian · 24/04/2015 19:47

What is a roustabout?

HattieA · 24/04/2015 19:55

Is that going to be a Banksey???

DocHollywood · 24/04/2015 19:55

Omg. I've just had trouble keeping my dinner down. That was excruciating.

DocHollywood · 24/04/2015 20:02

And what was Audrey's excuse for not attending Gail's wedding?

woodhill · 24/04/2015 20:05

Lilly is still at boarding creche.

do you think Gail will be singing " l'm going to wash that man right out of my hair" at 8.30

I was expecting a

TheLily1957 · 24/04/2015 20:10

Thank the lord for that. Maybe we will be relieved of the very dull Dennis now.
