AnneEyhtMeyer · 16/02/2015 20:45

As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

does Lillie go to a nursery as there is no evidence of her existence in the Platt household.

millimat · 18/04/2015 09:49

Lily must go to nursery, though how David manages to afford that plus a mortgage is beyond me. Maybe Corrie should share the secret to affordable childcare!

eddiemairswife · 18/04/2015 10:26

I think Lily lives at the nursery together with her huge dolls' house. She is allowed home about twice a year!

ClaudiaNaughton · 18/04/2015 13:40

Think Anna's getting snappy as she is beginning to see that she'll be SAHM when Faye goes back to school -with new school satchel- Not sure how the financial aspect will work Confused

AgathaChristie01 · 18/04/2015 14:22

I missed last night, but I gather that Gail's secret, or Fake Gavin/Andy's secret is now known by David. Yawn.

woodhill · 18/04/2015 14:38

why would Gail keep going to the real Gavin's grave after he fleeced her for 2k and wouldn't she have the sense to buy flowers from somewhere else. stupid storyline with more blackmail, how original. does anyone really do thus in real life.

EdSheeransGString · 18/04/2015 14:53

Woodhill - you only have to look as far as Jeremy Kyle to see that utter drivel like this does actually happen in real life lol

TillyButton · 18/04/2015 17:18

But on the plus side ,it looks as if the evil David could be returningSmile

What does Tony see in Tracy?

woodhill · 18/04/2015 20:56

I avoid it at all costs Ed :)

Housemum · 19/04/2015 15:42

Tracy and Tony - yawn. She has to be the most 2-dimensional and unbelievable character. Agree with Anna and the school thing - Fay seems remarkably OK for someone who only just gave birth! Surely in RL Anna would be saying, you might miss the first week back, we'll sort out going back with the school. After all, the longer she's off, the worse the rumours will be and the more she's likely to be bullied (again)
Some actual decent acting in the heart-to-heart with Sean and Billy, not the usual cringe-inducing awkwardness.

Gail can't buy flowers anywhere else, for the same reason that no one goes out for a meal/drink anywhere else (unless you're gay, when you are allowed to go to Canal Street) and no one goes to work anywhere else. I think Martin and Marcus were the only people who went to work elsewhere (only because they couldn't fit a hospital at the end of the road).

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2015 15:43

Has anyone seen the storyline to come re Nick and her off Emmerdale? Don't want to do a spoiler, not sure how you do the tv threads and discuss upcoming stories.

AgathaChristie01 · 19/04/2015 15:54

Yes, I've seen it Sparkling.
I don't want him to be with Carla, so I hope they put him back together with Erica.

I wish the writers would focus on sorting out some of the existing storylines. Where on earth is the fake Gavin story going to end up. If they dropped it quietly at this stage, I'm not sure anyone would care...and the flower sales in Dev's shop would drop back to normal.

Speaking of Dev, Mary and Julie seem to have calmed down their little feud over who he left in charge etc, thankfully. I know Julie is leaving, I'm not sure I blame the actress for getting out.

I see Kylie is due back fairly soon, does that mean they can drag even more out of the Callum nonsense. I suppose at least if she was back, Sarah and her sister, sorry, daughter Wink would have to move out of the Platt house.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2015 15:58

I am not a watch every episode soapy person but the storylines regarding anyone that lives with Gail and Les Dennis are just tedious in the extreme.

AgathaChristie01 · 19/04/2015 16:01

I agree and they and their ever expanding house seem to be the centre of most storylines.
I have become a sporadic viewer at this stage too.
Too many weak storylines, with mostly uninteresting characters trying to carry them IMO.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2015 16:04

When I have been a few weeks withiut catching an episode I am sat there all Shock when the same storyline is still plodding on.

This is why I used to like watching Doctors. Main cast always there but the stories always neatly completed one or two episodes.

Southeastdweller · 19/04/2015 17:17

There's another spoiler online involving Jenny, a dark one that's been hinted at.

eddiemairswife · 19/04/2015 18:09

Seems another baby is on the way.

AgathaChristie01 · 20/04/2015 10:22

I read bits of what is to happen this week. It's hard to care about characters we barely know or who have no depth. I genuinely do not know why they are bringing back characters such as Jenny, Sarah and Bethany.

AgathaChristie01 · 20/04/2015 10:28

I was a big fan of Claire King/ Kim Tate, Grin so hopefully Erica will prove to be an interesting character, a good addition to the Street, fingers crossed.
She may be able to pick up the pieces when Liz finds out about Tony and Tracy too.
I'm guessing she still doesn't know, I didn't see Friday's episodes.

SavoyCabbage · 20/04/2015 10:59

When Sarah-Louise had Bethany, she wanted to call her Brittany after Brittany Spears but Our Gail talked her out of it and they compromised with Bethany.

I shall be wearing a chain belt for the funeral.

Ellenora5 · 20/04/2015 11:29

I think I need some sort of anger management course, every time I see Tony and Tracey on the screen an inner rage wells up in me and I start shouting at them, the other night when they were on that tiny chair in Kens sitting room I thought I was actually going to combust with rage.

Neither of them can act, they are awful people, and if my memory serves me correctly, the first time Jasons Dad popped up in Corrie a few years ago he was a tiny little man with no money so how did he suddenly become some sort of millionaire wannabe thug.

And don't get me started on the Platts Angry

If they mess up Deirdres' funeral I will never watch again (well maybe not) but you know what I mean.

QueQuesto · 20/04/2015 20:51

Doesn't the gazette reporter doing the story on Sean and Billy look a lot like Tina, had to look twice there.

Housemum · 20/04/2015 21:01

And did I miss something, is Andy Gavin an orphan with no relatives or friends? How come no one has ever tried to contact him?

eddiemairswife · 20/04/2015 22:46

Do they give Lily laudanum to keep her quiet? How could she still be asleep when everyone was having breakfast/rowing and Max was off to school? Also, what time of day was 'Gavin's' party? No sign of Max and Lily, and Audrey too ill to look after them. Why on earth were Maria and Luke there?

theliverpoolone · 20/04/2015 23:35

Luke and Maria wouldve been there as he's Stephs brother, Eddie.

The scenes with David/Andy/Callum were farcical - in rl Andy would've been beaten up and left for dead in seconds. I was cringing at the ridiculousness of how it was all being dragged out in the shed(?).
