Evening all! Had a very relaxing afternoon here! One of my good friends has been up visiting. She is very pregnant, so (inspired greatly by whajeb's update, which was amazing btw!) we cracked out the DVD of persuasion (RPJ version). Lovely!

DH is working now, so time to get the kids fed and packed off to bed. Not to give too much away, but my goal for tonight is to write some QS..

nickel Chris won't be back till last chapter, which isn't actually far off now. It's half written already, started the last chapter a while ago.

Have managed to read all great mn ff and just skimming this thread. Can't believe how quick we are on a new thread.
Has been pretty rubbish week. Feeling like my nut is on the blink. Anyway therapy this afternoon was spending time with my favourite couple but will need some fluff in there soon.

OK, very excited now. QS by onlygirl... Still think you should write a novel. I've read (or started to read) loads of books that weren't a patch on your ff. Didn't klipdoctor say he was tempted to try his hand at self publishing? Don't know how it all works, but there are definitely books on kindle that I think, 'My god, who's told this person they can write?!'

whajeb great update on your ff, and at last we're put out of our misery (and CJ and Molly out of theirs)! Please say you're going to write something else once you've completed this story.

You'd best double any then only girl and crack on . Just been getting the kids tea myself before settling down to evening of marking and lesson planning hopefully now with some qs as a treat when I'm d.
I haven't seen the RPJ persuasio, must look outhe for it. I too was thinki. g I should read the book -i have a set of Jane Austen the were my grandma's . I have been really enjoying it whajeb thank you.

Bloody freezing today watching DS running!, only 4 more trials to go through for mini marathon selection. Ridiculous! Anyway been cooking most of afternoon, we have a couple of friends over for dinner, Chilli Garic King Prawns on Ciabatta. Beef fillet, with horseradish wrapped in prosciutto ham....plenty of wine to wash it all down... Lovely.

The promise of QS from jen is making me very excited.

I've had a frustrating day - I really want to spend the day writing and my family are expecting to be interacted with and fed. Totally unreasonable.

WHAJEB loved your update as well. You are cruel to draw out their reunion like that, but I love it really.

Oh richtea can I come round to yours for dinner? My dominos pizza is sounding pretty crap in comparison to all of that loveliness.

And yes, instead of eating something nutritious, I'm ordering takeaway pizza, giving the kids fish fingers and thinking of naked CJ for ff purposes instead. I hope you all appreciate my sacrifice in the name of QS

Do you know jen think I would prefer the pizza option. Can't really be bothered now, having been in the kitchen all afternoon I want someone else to cook! Also both my boys about who are fighting.... Trying to banish them, but it's not being very successful.

Yes,richtea will be round to yours in a few minutes - sounds lot nicer than the curry I'm making and goes far better with oodles of wine!

I'm also coping with hungover ds. When will the novelty of legal drinking wear off?

Oh, and is there pud richtea?

Spolt for new ff tonight. Are green stuff and book reader on here, those two are fab writers too. Some cracking stories at the moment :)

Domino pizza is not good, guys, it comes in puddles of oil of unidentified origin, naaaah...better frozen, then!
Confession: I have been in pj almost all day but for a quick run to the shops. DS2 actually IS down with something, therefore temperature and koaliness all day. Interestingly, having him ko most day, in bed with me, means DH had one of the best Saturdays lately, and I almost finished a whole book. You don't really realise how loud and ultra active he is, until you can spend a few hours with him "incapacitated" ;-)

Think I am over the worst of this bug now but felt lousy last night and earlier today so just checking in and catching up. The cough has more or less gone and the cold has dried up but I feel achy and just tired. Stayed in all day and fully intended doing lots of household chores which seem to have been ignored but so tired, decided to catch up on all the ff instead, watch my favourite bits from the DVD and then try out a new recipe for a veal casserole (proof of the pudding and all that will be tomorrow night). I think the copious amounts of alcohol in it will make it!!

Loved all the ff- Painted, Whajeb, Onlygirl and LovingtheBrit. I think one of the reasons the OG series has lost some of its initial pull with me is because of the fabulous stories we're able to read and where the characters have gone far beyond episode 5. I still want a second series (has to have CJ in though, we all know that) but if it's not to be, I am happy so long as the ff continues.

PaintedCherry - I live quite close to Stonyhurst and Hurst Green - do you have knowledge of the area?

Whajeb I don't want the story to end even though they've both needed a good kick, I am looking forward to a happy ending!

Onlygirl I echo what the others have said and you could do this professionally! I am sure I am not alone in thinking we would like to read a story with RL Chris as the central character! You have certainly tickled our fancy there!

Thanksnickel glad you are liking the twist just trying to stay the right side of "this could happen to me" no RL Paul thankfully....but it may not be him.........

Paintedcherry - a far cry from the East end for Molly!! A lovely area, yes and I can just see them walking their dogs in the grounds at Stonyhurst.

Having a lovely night in after a bit of a shit crap week, friend over for drinks though so far my request to put on Ourgirl has fallen on deaf ears!!!

A work colleague of mine has self-published a book of stories he's written for his small daughter. I've not read it but it's a proper hard copy, not an internet version. I could always ask him how he did it. Why am I suggesting this? onlygirl should be pitching it to a proper publisher!!!!
