speighty the problem for me is that CJ and Molly are my little bit of escapism and whilst I love a bit of angst and crossed wires etc, I don't particularly want to think of them old and dying of cancer (even after 40 years of happiness).

Oh heck, I am sitting here snivelling away after klipdoctor's final chapter. I know we're not his best pals at the moment, but that was very sad. I think it brings it back to me about my Mum last year (though hers fortunately was not a long, drawn out end). I echo orphan's sentiments. CJ and MD are a form of escapism for us and even after 40 years, I don't want to read of their deaths.

I am now going to watch the end of episode 2 and the duet to cheer me up a bit. Had some sad news as well last night that some friends of mine (I have known the woman since she was four years old) are splitting up and even though they're hardly the first couple of my acquaintance to separate, I feel incredibly sad for them. Their two children are 2 and 5. On paper, it looked like a perfect arrangement but I guess you never know what goes on behind closed doors. I don't think this lingering bug is helping either. So back to the OG DVD for light relief.

I blubbed to reading the epilogue. I think as there is so many ff written. It feels like I actually know them in RL too....

orphan I agree, I love angst but also love a happy ending. I s'pose it was in a way, though I don't want to think of them in their twilight years.

Well I've cheered up a bit because I've just read Life After Afghan's latest chapter. I can't get my head round Major Beck and his wife having sex, sorry! I remember him in "Mistresses" and then as a gay orthopaedic surgeon in Holby. The OG lot are certainly a randy bunch, no question about that!!

Crikey I've just read the last chapter of Klipdoctor. I'm sobbing. G&T in hand now. icemist I feel just the same. I feel I know the characters now.

Evening all. Crappy day at work. Going home to pour wine and cheer up. I shit you not, there is a man on the train opposite me wearing a gold lame tracksuit. It's very shiny. Given BA's various fashion fails, he might like it..!

That photo cheered me up a bit mind, I don't think I object to the long hair all the more for me to run my fingers through

Richtea go and read Life After Afghan. That will stop the tears.

Finally watched the trailer for weeks Reign, finally looks like BA might have a decent storyline!

I do have a question.... Are we sending BA a valentine card?

OOOOH icemist I was thinking exactly the same when I was doing the supermarket run tonight in Tesco.

Do we have anything to lose by sending one?

And l think a valentine's card is a great idea. Just let's make sure it's better than OGA's!

Could we make one so that it would be completely unique (and maybe elicit a proper response). Thinking of the way we did calendars, mugs etc or even asking cherin to do some of her brilliant sketches? Happy to chip in for any costs.

An original artwork card would be amazing, that would not be put in the bin I'm sure.

As long as it's not this one....

Hahahaha. I think we could do better than that! I mean, we are the CJ Collective: we write superb ff, we could be a PR agency, personal shoppers/stylists and all sorts of other things so we can manage a card which will stand out from the crowd.

Thanks ilove. If I follow the plan then he won't be appearing again till the end of the story (which is rapidly approaching!), so thought I would let him bow out with some glory!

Would RL Chris be so thoughtful and sympathetic?

I think it's fair to say that fictional Chris is an idealised version of RL Chris (and infinitely preferable at the moment!). He's had his moments over the years, he's not all bad!

nickel I too had a school mums coffee morning today. Was quite amusing, as I don't get to many being a full time working mum and I'm not sure they quite know what to make of me ?? anyway, we were talking about why I'm not aroun much and what a supposedly interesting job I have when I suddely had an overwhelming urge to whip out my phone, show them my CJ photos and say " this is what I'm REALLY passionate about". Although they already think I'm a bit...odd??

Oh yes, Valentine's card is a fab idea btw
