Notebooks at the ready Grin We should have enough information at the end of the first episode to start cooking up some slightly implausible theories.

With regard to mumbling I often watch dramas with the subtitles on. I started doing this with Corrie because I couldn't understand what Katie was saying. I wondered if it was due to old age, but I can hear the news perfectly well.

hollyisalovelyname · 24/01/2015 17:47

How do you turn subtitles on please?

iklboo · 24/01/2015 17:54

There's usually a button on your tv remote, Holly.

hollyisalovelyname · 24/01/2015 19:49

Grr just checking tv schedule for next week in the paper. We, in Ireland had UTV - Ulster Television ( part of ITV) down south to watch.
They've only bldy changed it to UTV Ireland and put on a different schedule to ITV/ UTV. Broadchurch has been on at 10 pm on Mondays for us Irish viewers. So an hour behind UK viewers.
Now they appear to have pulled it, according to tv schedule in paper.
2 episodes in.
Jesus wept !
Bad and all as it was, I was still watching til the bitter end.
I'm bl
dy fuming.

You can watch it anyway by going on the ITV website and just watching it live...

katese11 · 25/01/2015 08:49

I've let it all out in a big rant and now I feel better:

(note accreditation to MNPD where it's due...)

iklboo · 25/01/2015 11:21

Arthur Darvill is on Sunday Brunch.

hollyisalovelyname · 25/01/2015 12:29

Silly me. I think it's on TV 3 ( another Irish channel) at 10 Monday. Doh!!Blush
Is that the embarrassed emjoi ?

Marcelinewhyareyousomean · 25/01/2015 23:21

Why didn't DT check the cameras and recorders, especially the one under the table?

I don't get Miller shagging that bloke no matter how drunk. Claire didn't seem bevvied and I reckon that geezer was long gone. I call shenanigans and Miller knows she's dodgy ....

When she was checking the phone, she looked at the numbers and search history. It was DH's name guilty, trail and ?

rollonthesummer · 26/01/2015 08:02

Was it trial or trail?

Marcelinewhyareyousomean · 26/01/2015 08:32

Sorry, trial (stupid autocorrect)
Search was: guilty, trial and pendant.

Patio looked new. I wonder if Claire slipped Miller a rohypnol?

rumbelina · 26/01/2015 12:51

I enjoyed that, katese11

I haven't seen the first series but seem to have very similar observations and opinions to many of you who have!

grabagran · 26/01/2015 18:22

So none of the actors have managed to read the script in its entirety according to Eve Myles in the Telegraph today. It goes to show how much faith some of our leading British actors had in the writer! Maybe if they had been privy to the whole script, they wouldn't be taking part.

Sorry if I'm being dim but why is Ellie's son living by himself in a caravan?? Would this be allowed?? And why is he not allowed to live with her?? If I'm being really thick please tell me!

Nerf · 26/01/2015 21:39

Yes, she was always going to be wasn't she? She must know something. It's better this week.

chubbychipmonk · 26/01/2015 21:40

Who is Tom meant to be living with just now? . . . And for someone that has lost one son,
Miller seems to abandon her youngest toddler at the drop of a hat!

Nerf · 26/01/2015 21:47

Erm, this seems like a shit idea

Nerf · 26/01/2015 21:49

Slight overacting there from the scary people

Ellie's son isn't living by himself in the caravan - it's like his den.

Like you'd forget that. And who is paying Olivia and Dave to keep chasing the case?
