Why did the bloke in the car not take the ball back to Maria or shout "oi keep your ball under control'? He just calmly crosses the road and appears to put it in the Rover's doorway.

And why did Maria change her mind about inviting Luke in? I was only half watching.

Maybe she had to run over to the Rover's doorway to get her ball back. I was so interested in bloke with ball I didn't notice why dreary Maria changed her mind. She's so dull. She's my worst character, even her ruffling Liam's hair and saying 'come on you' gave me the rage.

You and me both, Hilda, she is as dull as ditchwater.

I'd also like to see Michael / Les aboard. Right up at the front.
The scenes last night with G/Andy and Steph in Platts' house, where she was trying to warn him not to say anything, were like Fawlty Towers, except not funny.

Then outside with Michael guessing she was pregnant, and her agreeing. 'You're your father's son...' Cringe.

I quite like Gavdy and Steph. Stupid storyline but like the characters. I don't mind Les Dennis but he is always Les Dennis. Makes me laugh.

I like Les Dennis but can't shake the image of him in Rus Abbot? as Mavis saying " I don't really know Rita".

He did his ice bucket challenge as Mavis on the Street. It wasn't in Russ Abbott he did Mavis is but in the sketch show he did with Dustin Gee (who died shortly afterwards).

Oh dear I have just outed self as secret font of Les Dennis related trivia.

Also after a rethink I think Gavin/Andy needs to be forever known as Gandy.

How does Gail manage to get so many men? The Steph/Gandy storyline is awful. Any chance they can they can get on the bus?. And disappointed that Liz has not been wearing the fabulously tacky ZigZag necklace recently. Would look amazing with her tinsel extensions.

Yes bring back the zigzag necklace, I'm slightly obsessed with lizs tinsel extensions. They sell some in poundland and I'm tempted to buy them.

@corriespoil has rumour on Twitter that Anne Kirkbride is considering leaving. I am worried that she is really unwell. I love Deirdre.

It does make you wonder with the timing - she left virtually as soon as Dull Ken came back.

I would be very sad to see Deirdre go, she has been a real pillar of the show.
