New thread in time for the new year - hopefully this year will see the back of some awful characters.

I would personally like to see the following rounded up and shoved in a deep hole in the Red Rec:

Izzy
Anna
Owen
Gary
Michelle
Tracey-Luv
Gavin
Faye
Yasmeen and her entire extended family
The Community Centre
Kylie
Todd
Steph

That'll do for starters.

Oh i get a special kind of glee when I'm quoted in subsequent posts. Thankyou to all who lived my les description.

Sally is definitely a mnetter. Really love that they've made her funny. She was so serious for years but she's got great comic timing.

I think the creator said it was siobhan who wad going to suffer the most in the crash. If more than 5 aren't killed in the crash I'm going to have to go there and do the job mesen'.

I wish they didn't make Steve depression so extreme. Hes lost all his money, his relationship, friends in the space of 2 months. Depression can devastate your life without you doing all this and some of the best depictions of his depression have been when he had been alone crying. No histrionics, no crash, no spending.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/01/2015 22:32

I'll chip in for your train fair, clean.

Tina O'Brien looks younger than her 31 years so it's going to be weird seeing these two together on screen. Holyoaks did a similar thing last year with the recasting of Holly (Cindy's daughter).

squoosh · 16/01/2015 10:26

The actress who plays Sarah Louise still only looks 15 years old herself so not sure how believable they'll be as mother and daughter.

squoosh · 16/01/2015 10:26

x post with Southeast!

Jill2015 · 16/01/2015 10:28

I'm sure that David's house (I think it is his, anyway, from some daft storyline a while back) will magically expand yet again so that Bethany and Sarah will be able to live there too!

hildasmuriel · 16/01/2015 10:37

I think we can guess where the Bethany storylines will go...

eddiemairswife · 16/01/2015 11:10

8Jill* that was my first thought also!

Threeplus1 · 16/01/2015 13:13

I do marvel at the ability of soap houses to contain as many people as they do. I mean they can't have more than 3 beds judging by what we do see, and surely one of those will be a box room....Eileen's place is a classic example

woodhill · 16/01/2015 13:43

thinking similar thoughts, already have Gail, Max, Lily, David, Les Dennis in a smallish 3 bed house with a through lounge.

eddiemairswife · 16/01/2015 13:57

Perhaps they'll stay in Eileen's flexible house. Didn't Sarah-Louise marry or nearly marry one of her boys (Todd)? So she's a sort of daughter-in-law.

squoosh · 16/01/2015 14:00

'already have Gail, Max, Lily, David, Les Dennis in a smallish 3 bed house with a through lounge.'

Grin

I love that he's still Les Dennis. I can't remember his character's name either.

eddiemairswife · 16/01/2015 14:01

Just refreshed my memory with Corriepedia. Sarah was engaged to Todd, but married Jason on the 2nd attempt, he ran away the 1st time.

Ladytron · 16/01/2015 14:22

Do we know who Bethany's father is? Is it Jason?
She does have a look of Sarah-Lou about her!

squoosh · 16/01/2015 14:23

Wasn't his name Neil something? I think he conveniently died a car crash a few years ago. Another victim of the terrible road safety stats in Weatherfield.

Ellenora5 · 16/01/2015 14:36

Yep Bethanys father was killed and then his mother turned up and she went off the rails and kidnapped Bethany and was going to jump off the church ( i think ) with her.

I wonder where Faye will give birth, will it be her own house or the back room of the rovers because that's where most of them seem to have babies, not many of them make it on time to Weatherfield Maternity.

I feel a bit sorry for Mary, Julie has really stepped on her toes with regarding the twins, and Devs a twat.

Ladytron · 16/01/2015 16:14

Thanks for the info re Bethany's father. I'd deleted that from my memory!

woodhill · 16/01/2015 16:51

I thought it was a bit tacky the way Julie was staying over as well. Does Mary get paid like a housekeeper?

lovelydoggies · 16/01/2015 17:00

I've never been that impressed with any of the child actors that Corrie has used over the years, Simon and Amy are atrocious, terrible timing and just so annoying. What's the betting Bethany will be dire too.
I don't watch EE anymore but at least their child actors can usually act.

Jill2015 · 16/01/2015 17:01

Jill that was my first thought also!

Elastic houses must be so handy!

Speaking of Sarah and Todd, I think she had a baby with him also, and the baby died. Must look that up.

Ellenora5 · 16/01/2015 17:08

Yep she did Jill, think his name was Billy.

Southeastdweller · 16/01/2015 17:10

I missed the episodes last year when Mary moved in with Dev. I can't imagine Mary wanting money from Dev as she does like him and the kids so much, but he's got it made at that house with the cooking and babysitting on tap.

Jill2015 · 16/01/2015 17:11

Thanks Ellenora.

I wonder will they even acknowledge one another when they meet, Sarah and Todd.

I was watching an old episode recently where Todd went to kiss Nick... I wonder does the current Nick, or indeed Todd remember that. Grin

waithorse · 16/01/2015 20:21

I love the relationship between Carla and Roy. You'd never put them together, but they really are good friends and care about each other.
