SPO I would suggest lots of opportunities re additional leverage, get some.
cherin had not noticed corporal geddings dodgy footwear in the pilot (need to research) although I agree he's not looking his best in that particular drama.
And everybody - please note that as BA seems to be improving with age, imagine how good he'll look in a few years- maybe even not in combats and scowling...

Richtea19 · 05/12/2014 23:43

In his next venture I hope he won't have a dodgy accent. He needs to retain the posh boy one. I still think James Bond would be good, just no more Midsummer Murders or period dramas, unless he is coming out of the water wearing a transparent shirt....

apsara03 · 05/12/2014 23:45

I've been wondering whether they used make up/stubble to make BA look older than real age as CJ. The pics from the radio Interviews look more than Daniel Parish the CJ. Maybe he's just going to get better Smile

Richtea19 · 05/12/2014 23:47

SPO Horns could be a disadvantage depending on which position is preferred :)

orphan · 06/12/2014 00:01

I'm beginning to wonder if he actually is the same person. Perhaps BA has a secret, not nearly as good looking twin who did the Lowrise role and the Aran jumper one, and come to think of it the Carlsberg (was it Carlsberg? I've tried to delete it from my memory) ad as well. It can be the only explanation as far as I'm concerned. ( other than an extremely expensive plastic surgeon in Buenos Aires who specialises in charisma transplants).

cherin you've excelled yourself! I have to admit the doe is appropriate, though a tiny bit of me still hankers after a spaniel...

orphan · 06/12/2014 00:07

Don't horns get shed at some point? Could be fairly traumatic. Am picturing a romantic and perhaps energetic encounter and CJ stag bids his farewell, leaving his horns behind...

Nickel45 · 06/12/2014 00:17

cherin that is perfect! Although now wondering about the antlers (thanks SPO), but I reckon an advantage!

Was thinking, but while I was getting a bit squiffy last night, I nearly told one of my RL friends about posting on here ... It would have fitted into the conversation (I think?!), but I didn't ... I think seeing me drunk was probably enough of a shock, in hindsite, so probably a good call! Anyway, was just wondering if you lot have admitted to anyone (other halfs?) about the wonderful things we be been doing, cherin's art, SPOs zombies, the other fanfics? We should be really proud, but I'm not sure i am ready to divulge to anyone outside of here! Anyway, bit late so probably should hit the sack rather than get all philosophical!

cjwoofwoof · 06/12/2014 00:43

No way Nickel, I'd never let on to RL outsiders my shenanigans on this thread, they might think I was a cougar lech unhealthily obsessedweird Grin

Thankfully just watched Ep 5 again and regained my composure after my BA wobble earlier today. Oh that look he gives just before they try and kiss at the dinner table, totes adorable

Rhubarb01 · 06/12/2014 07:35

Morning everyone!

Re:confessing to being on this thread. I've told my nearest and dearest things about this. Not lots of details but just thrown in the odd snippets about photos, drawings, limericks etc. I had to explain why I spent so much time reading and laughing at things. They think I'm a bit bonkers but don't really care too much. Mind you I have told them to keep it to themselves. Thankfully, kids don't take their attention away from You tube, Xbox etc etc for very long. In any case there is someone else in my family who has slightly strange interests and everyone accepts that - each to their own!

As for Matthew McNulty - a fine actor who I am happy to see in any drama - if you think his footwear was bad in OG then you should have seen his entire outfit in 'The Mill'.

icemist · 06/12/2014 07:56

Good morning, boys let me have a lie in till few mins ago!

Love the drawing cherin

No one on RL knows I even post in here. hubby appears to have forgotten about my fanmail. He never asks if I sent a letter and I never said I did - that will be a good one to explain should I ever get a response.
Fandom really has gone quiet on the OG front apart from the FB group who tweet all the time (about 6)) and us.

What a way to start the day, thanks icemist.

I've had an odd week, ups and downs and last night resulted in me thinking about special people we have lost, Christmas is a killer for me. However I seem to woken up this morning, feeling like I have got out the right side of the bed and actually I'm feeling Christmassy. I am going to attempt to put up the decorations and I also have 5 christmas cakes to ice!!! I am thinking a stag themed one.....

As to RL. DH and boys know but leave me to my self. Did tell two RL friends but I didn't get the reaction I wanted, so I have learned not to say any more, I'm becoming economical with the truth!.

Lovely frosty morning and off to Park Run with DS1.

Ilovelblue · 06/12/2014 09:05

Like Richtea, I've not had the reaction I'd hoped for so have kept quiet and have not mentioned to one single person about posting on here or our attempts at fanfiction. Was a bit concerned in case somebody sussed me on here but since I'd never mentioned MN directly and just said "there are these forums...." it's unlikely anyone would have checked. Especially never mentioned it to the obsessive woman at work who would have checked up on me for sure!

cherin · 06/12/2014 09:17

Me neither. And I make sure my sketching pad is stored up on the bookshelves where nobody looks (more than a bit dusty, ahemm...)
We all have our dirty little secrets? Mine is innocent and doesn't harm anyone
(Albeit I burnt the first couple of pancakes this morning, to read you lot :-)

SPOfficer · 06/12/2014 09:22

Morning everyone! Thanks for the advice on the horns. Am now worried about them coming of in the 'heat of battle' and will have to look into effective fixing mechanisms although anything to cumbersome may affect performance I am thinking.

In terms of fessing up to the thread only DW knows that I post. I think we have a tassit agreement that as long as it doesn't dominate my free time it's ok. Excellent woman.

Nickel45 · 06/12/2014 09:34

Indeed SPO Smile

Nickel45 · 06/12/2014 09:37

Indeed SPO you got a good 'un there
(flippin' phone)

orphan · 06/12/2014 10:51

Morning everyone. Perhaps you could psychically send some Christmas spirit my way richtea as I seem to be lacking in it (despite mulled wine last night). Going into town today so perhaps plentiful stag sightings will help.

cjwoofwoof · 06/12/2014 12:49

Glad to report that I'm finally back by your side 100% after going all over the shop with my feelings for BA yesterday after that awful link from icemist. Promised myself I'm only going to ogle appreciate BA's fine body acting skills POST OG from now on. Trying to get more Christmas spirit by imagining a log fire at a magical house in Bath, followed by a magical time SHARING a bath...

galaxy99 · 06/12/2014 13:14

Another fantastic drawing cherin

I also haven't told anyone in RL about being on this thread. I nearly told DH a few weeks ago when he came home with some crackers with stags on, he wondered why I found them amusing. I almost showed him Cherin's drawings and confessed all but I focused up and stayed incognito.

pixieg1rl · 06/12/2014 13:19

My partner probably despairs of the time I spend on social media - I think he lumps it all together. I haven't mentioned this thread or told him about the fanfic. I mentioned how much I enjoyed OG to a friend a month or so back and she said she never watched it, so I wasn't about to tell her about here.

cherin · 06/12/2014 13:44

I feel very xmassy, my local shops are bursting with people (and fund raisers at every single door), decorations everywhere, mulled wine and carols and Buble' to overdose with...it's lovely! I wasn't going to do much this year because we're going 'home' (aka to 2 different countries to see both sets if grandparents. Relaxing, uh? Not!), but now...I think I am gonna need to bake some Xmas cakes and cinnamon biscuits. I even found a set of letter stamps for them (shall I use OGisms? What could I use? 'Be brilliant'? Not Fmuppets, that's for sure ;-)

apsara03 · 06/12/2014 13:52

Hope you see lots of festive stags orphan to get you in the mood.Xmas Smile
my DH knows I post n generally obsess but isn't bothered. I got very stressed last year and everything got a bit much so I think he's happy for anything to keep my on a level and laughing along with you lot certainly helps. :)

apsara03 · 06/12/2014 13:57

Oo cherin that's reminded me -I've got a stag (well reindeer) biscuit cutter. Xmas baking for me this afternoon n it will count as doing something with the kids -lovely Xmas Smile

cherin · 06/12/2014 14:06

Me too! I bet it's the ikea set with the cute hedgehog and fox, too? :-)

cherin · 06/12/2014 14:07

(No hold on- the ikea has a moose)
