Few new ones tonight which is good.

It was freezing cold at the Christmas market and also pouring with rain, then hail, then sleet a bit later so not the most pleasant of experiences. No stags that I noticed - though there was a collection of Husky dogs which looked so cute and fluffy!

We have been "invited" to wear Christmas jumpers at work on Friday. Somebody asked me if I was wearing one (knowing full well I do not possess one). I almost (just almost) said no, but I have some stag pants, but he is a bit of a lecherous so and so and I decided against it. Very much doubt he would have let it rest - the entire department would have known within five minutes!

Too tired to finish off editing Molly's diary. It will have to wait until tomorrow. The mulled wine has had too much of an effect. There was a new fanfic in tonight which seemed to read quite well. She used the expression "Captain Stern Face". That was one of our expressions, wasn't it?

Good point, rhubarb. If you'd said to me that a program about soldiers in afghan, with the girl from eastenders and the guy from low rise (!) would get under my skin, I'd never have believed you. In fact, I didn't even watch the first episode until I was repeated the following Sunday! I reckon I make you right though, that they have certain demographics they have to aim at, and TG is, quite rightly, using that to his advantage. I wonder how many "younger women" are still discussing it two months later though ... .? Or maybe I shouldn't think about that ... ?!

Nice one Elsie. I've been finding a lot of song lyrics seem to match the series recently. It's funny though, spo's zombie fic has had such a profound effect on me that now when I'm reading the other fan fic I keep expecting Major Beck to flounce out in a negligee or Morley to lick his lips lasciviously.

richtea I'm wondering how you got on with checking out the Flight Sergeant's capacity for filling his combats? (Or are you currently being held at the police station for harassment?)
If you managed to get to your gym night out, did you discover any fellow OG obsessives/stag pant wearers?

orphan i agree on spo's ff, it's perfect, silly but clever and really well written & in keeping with the nature of our chats on MN. Some of the ff is sickly sweet romantic rubbish and then some is sensitive and well imagined. I prefer the ff that's honest, passionate, or cleverly done (i.e. Zombie Gir,l My Man etc.

Another two RL people I met tonight that never watched Our Girl. They weren't remotely interested in my story of carol concert, actor Adonis. However when I said I was prepared to leave my husband for him they soon pricked up their ears!!! Shallow lot! Their conversation was Strictly and Jakes hips!!! Really they can hardly compete with CJs low slung combats and bulge!

Orphan it was a bit tricky tonight with Operation Flight Seargent Bulge, as I was a bit late dropping off and they had started parade, marching stuff. DS1 very keen for me not to hang about. They are doing some sort of field craft thing at the weekend (which will be in greens and camo paint etc) so I will have another chance, if I'm not arrested first!

I shall do a RT vote and bed, although there seems to be loads of updated FF to read, but I must resist.

Well done icemist I'm kinda disappointed it's another historical role, though given he's a king should be plenty of opportunity for looking authoritative and in control but hopefully with having done OG and American Psycho he with get type cast. Hoping he does something on stage again soon then we could have a CJ Collective trip

Apparently his 1st episode is Ep 11 of the current series, ep 10 is on tonight- ep 11 I think will be shown after Xmas, I believe the show is not yet broadcast in UK though. My sister has a way of watching US shows on her laptop so shall be finding out about that later

icemist don't get me too excited with all this talk of nakedness and bulges so early in the morning. I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to work ... Well, I should have left 10 minutes ago, now I'm sitting in my pjs searching the web about reign! Must focus up ... now cant get operation royal bulge outta my mind!
