I think he was either stolen by the Indian lady whilst on holiday with his parents OR she was his nurse/nanny & something happened to his parents. She mistreated him in that house & he is so petrified of returning that he will do anything to stay in the carehome.

Me and DH think it's his Indian governess still protecting him from outsiders, that's why she pushed the social worker out of the window.

I want a cuppa before bed...no way am I going into the kitchen alone.

Actually perhaps it was the spirit of the Indian woman who killed the social worker. Social worker was clearly going to question Tom about the photos etc & the spirit doesn't want the the truth to come out?

I think some childhood trauma, lost parent or sibling?

Filmed in Marsden in Huddersfield -as were bits of Last Tango in Halifax-and recognised lots of the area.Heard Michael Palin on the radio the other day saying how the script grabbed him,and coming from Yorkshire he relished the chance to go back to act there.But how when he watched it back after filming he found it too scary to watch a full episode.I found it terrifying!

And the only way to die is by leaving the house where the spirit was contained (hence the being so tired and no visitors to the house and telling his neighbour not to visit.) Only now the spirit is out because things were removed.

Well that's my theory so far and it'll probably be wrong!!!
