Anyone watching?

OP posts:
diddl · 01/12/2014 15:09

Al this talk of Scarborough Fair-I've just had to listen to the Simon & Garfunfel version.

Omg, their voices!

colleysmill · 01/12/2014 16:21

Oh I've been to the chequered floor place! Although it wasn't scary when we were there it was full of teenagers at a careers fair!

GaryShitpeas · 01/12/2014 17:28

Did anyone notice as well the care workers little brother was playing on his computer in his room and it was all messy. Then it was tidy in the next scene and his sister gave him some money for doing it but he hadnt Shock

OwlCapone · 01/12/2014 17:36

Yes - I want a ghost like that :o

He gave his sister back the money she gave him for tidying it though.

eddiemairswife · 01/12/2014 17:55

Perhaps the ayah tidied his room. We know very little about the old man's background. If his father had died when he was little maybe the ayah has watched over him all his life, and got rid of the people who wanted to care for him (wife and social worker) because she is jealous. It could be that she realises he is coming to the end of his life and needs another fatherless child to care for.

Silkchiffon · 01/12/2014 18:30

Same here diddl - isn't it hauntingly beautiful? (pun intended!)

barkingtreefrog · 01/12/2014 18:47

Definitely the ayah who tidied the bedroom, there was a teddy left on the bed as well - looked like the same teddy as in the photo with Tom as a boy.

HaveToWearHeels · 01/12/2014 18:51

I have been to that pavillion, but never again :)

diddl · 01/12/2014 18:55

So the spirit/ghost was Tom's ayah?

Why did she kill the careworker?

Because she wanted to stop Hannah finding Tom?

If she wants to "take over" Hannah's brother, then Tom will have to dieSad

OwlCapone · 01/12/2014 19:13

Why did she kill the careworker?

I assume she is driven by a mix of protectiveness and jealousy. I think she killed his wife through jealousy and the careworkers through protectiveness.

OwlCapone · 01/12/2014 19:14

I wonder if her involvement with Hannah's brother is almost a threat.

Nessalina · 01/12/2014 19:22

That was the only thing that wasn't right actually - I thought these days if you want to get a card from the Queen on your birthday, you have to ask for it, and it doesn't feel like Tom would have done (surely it'd draw attention to himself?) and who else would have?

And who is the woman in the card home going to be?

guineapiglet · 01/12/2014 19:56

I want to know who woman in care home is - a wife or relative? Someone he wants protected from Aisha?
Could his first wife be a benevolent spirit - drowned at sea? Hence all the shells and that creepy crab paperweight/water everywhere?
MP seemed to be able to control Aisha to some extent, or at least she obeyed him. Can't stop thinking about it!!

cakedcrusader · 01/12/2014 20:05

Loving this so far but I agree last night's episode wasn't as scary as the first one. I found it hilarious that the paramedics would leave the woman sitting at the table and not move her to the floor or stretcher to try to resuscitate her! Grin

Pinkwillow · 01/12/2014 20:15

Has no-one watched 'Carrie'? This is too dull.

Lambstales · 01/12/2014 20:37

Deux I just can't get the second episode at the moment. How did you manage it?
Why is episode 2 not available? I watched episode 1 on the Monday.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/12/2014 21:03

It's on I player, I watched it on Monday.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/12/2014 21:14

Pink- or The Shining ?Wink

Lambstales · 01/12/2014 21:26

I still can't get episode 2.

Deux · 01/12/2014 22:13

Lamstales. I watched it on iplayer on our Sky+ box. I just checked the iPad and it's not showing on the iPad, only episode 1. How strange.

I think Yorkshire looks stunning in this series.

Pinkwillow · 01/12/2014 22:28

Damediaz,Stephen King turns most other attempts at 'scardiness' into a snoozefest Grin I'll be reading all about the next episode on here too.

Lambstales · 01/12/2014 22:37

Oh, no Sky here. So just on lap top. I know I watched episode 1 on the Monday Confused
Was there anything that might have caused complaints? so it was removed?

Deux · 01/12/2014 23:06

Lambstales. That's really odd. Maybe it takes a while before it becomes available? I've just checked our Sky and I can only get episode 2 on iplayer there, no episode one showing. Weird.

Deux · 01/12/2014 23:11

Lambstales. It seems there is an issue with ep2 and the BBC are aware. Hope it's available soon.
