Good morning

icemist some lovely pics to set me up for the day

iloveblue good luck with your procedure next week. Lots of OG should speed recovery.

SPOfficer love your stag drawing - made me chuckle.

Episodes 3 and 4 for me today. I'm so glad it looks like we're gonna need a new thread Smile

galaxy99 · 14/11/2014 07:23

Smurfingreat I can't believe there is another Sea Patrol fan out there! It is still on in the UK on Universal Channel at 11am, in the middle of series 3 at the minute but the episodes are also on YouTube.

Ilovelblue · 14/11/2014 07:36

Apparently I am to have a Twitter lesson from my colleague today. It came up in conversation yesterday and I said I had an account but hadn't really understood it properly so gallant (male) colleague offered to give a demo. "You could start following that army bloke then". BA was the only person I was following so last night I added in The Apprentice and Lord Sugar to make me seem less of a nutcase. Said colleague rumbled my BA obsession quite early on.

orphan · 14/11/2014 07:42

icemist excellent choice of pics this morning. Worth seeing if you can watch the first series of The Fall cos there are lots of things that happened previously which are alluded to in this one. Don't know why but Dornan doesn't do it for me ( might feel differently in 50 shades!!). Didn't you find the checked shirt distracting?

stressybird · 14/11/2014 07:50

Just found DS playing with a box of Action Men I'd completely forgotten we had been given by a friend. Spent a quality early morning half hour sorting through, discarding 'deep sea diver action man', in favour of CJ, sorry, 'Army action man'. We now have ourselves an almost fully kitted out CJ. DS is delighted that Mummy is showing such an interest. Might have even thrown a "maybe AM needs a girlfriend" in there. Will go and research female AM. Failing that, I'll acquire a Barbie and give her a makeover. It'll be just like the olden days. Have a good day everyone. Grin

stressybird · 14/11/2014 07:57

orphan attempted to watch The Fall last night but as usual, distracted by 'other things'. Did watch the first series though and thought it was great so will def get back into it. I've done nothing but moan (like a sulky teenager according to DS) since OG ended about the c**p on TV. Also, the Fall has the added bonus of Gillian Anderson who DH admits to having a massive crush on back in the day. My plan is to encourage that, so I don't feel quite so bad about my own crush. Who knows, maybe the new year will bring BA and GA together side by side in calendar form.

orphan · 14/11/2014 08:23

stressybird I have a bit of a girl crush on Gilliam Anderson myself. I think she's someone who has improved looks wise with age. She was brill in Bleak House and Crimson Petal and the White. Saw her in the stage Streetcar named Desire which was incredible. She was so fragile, both physically and emotionally.

SPOfficer · 14/11/2014 08:39

Morning all! Walking to work in the pissing rain. New shoes on so may need DW to look at my blisters tonight!

With you on the GA crush. Very different to MD but then variety is the spice of life!

Glad the stag drawing tickled you. Love the idea of a comic strip. Trying to come up with a title. How about 'Charles Stag and Dawsey Doe Too' Sure you lot can come up with better!

Richtea19 · 14/11/2014 09:00

Morning all, great pictures icemist, love CJ in smiley mode.

Can't wait to watch the Fall tonight, GA is fab actress I love her coolness and good accent too, think someone told me she lived in the UK?

JD is hunky but strangely doesn't have the same affect as BA/CJ. He was great in RL in graham norton show, very comical. If we are talking of other TV/actor crushes '
My other one is James MCAvoy. I have seen him in 30 days of Rain -'s Macbeth - and very excited to have tickets to see him in a Ruling Class!

Have a good day

orphan · 14/11/2014 09:27

Read an article saying that Jamie Dornan has a strange excess adrenaline problem which means he drops to the floor and does press ups at any given moment!! In a bid to show me what that's like, dp did that midconversation and it's rather disconcerting to say the least. (Rather impressed by dp's prowess tho...Blush)

cherin · 14/11/2014 09:56

No kidding??
Didn't realise it was season2 of The fall, will surely watch it now, as the first one was excellent! Thanks for the tip
You lot should never, ever complaining of British tv, and particularly the BBC. Believe me. Live abroad for a bit, and you'll realise! We moved to London and lived for 6 years without telly, then I had DS2 and to bribe DS1 into accepting him I had to give in to tv and wii (it was intense, in the delivery room- push 1= child, push 2=wii, push 3=42" plasma screen)
I paid my tv licence even BEFORE taking telly out of the box, out if gratitude for numerous hours spent watching quality series and documentaries on iplayer, no advertising, no naked women accompanying fully dressed men, actual information....

Rhubarb01 · 14/11/2014 11:14

Morning all!

Children in Need Day - Bring a bear to school. Two camouflage bears spotted in playground!

I also managed an "I lost control!" in the supermarket after nearly poleaxing a pensioner with my trolley.

Might gonna need to restrain myself today!

PassTheSherry · 14/11/2014 11:53

Morning! I should really be getting on with a million other things as very busy weekend ahead, but seem to get the urge to double in after a while.

Not watched The Fall but might give it a go as it sounds alright. I agree about the quality of british telly being excellent - for original dramas it's second to none.

Galaxy, I've finally found you, the other Sea Patrol fan! Knew there must be another one!

Rhubarb, Camo bears, think I might gonna need one of those (as well as the soldier tank egg cup!)

Trying to find OG fans in RL is still an epic fail. After someone posted "ditto Smurfing" on another forum last night, I couldn't resist trying to connect. My reply aided by the courage of wine, that I "try to go above and beyond" for my tenants was met with a discussion about intumescent paint and concealed door closing mechanisms Sad.

orphan · 14/11/2014 12:57

Cor blimey smurfing intumescent paint sounds more interesting than it probably is...Confused

Smurfingreat · 14/11/2014 12:59

Orphan - it's flame retardant Wink

orphan · 14/11/2014 13:03

Love, love, love those pics PassThe Sherry. He looks so wonderfully manly next to Molly (feeling a bit hot and bothered now)

orphan · 14/11/2014 13:04

smurfing oh how disappointingSad

orphan · 14/11/2014 13:05

Won't bother trying to join a landlords forum then..!

Smurfingreat · 14/11/2014 13:06

Sorry Orphan! Although thanks to you I now have a vision in my head of a tumescent object merrily and safely flaming away like a light sabre shaped christmas pudding....

orphan · 14/11/2014 13:12
Grin Fascinating to discover tho that paint can be tumescent or otherwise!
orphan · 14/11/2014 13:17

Agree with quality of Brit programming but am massive fan of the original The Killing and The Bridge. Love a bit of Nordic noir!

cherin · 14/11/2014 14:51

Ok fellow Og-nutters, have been completely soaked at morning drop off, I am having a particularly hard day at work, my back for some reason is frozen stiff, but:
A) tonight I am going to a social event that requires heels and lipstick (hooray!! Once in a blue moon!)
B) in a desperate attempt to clear up my mind over lunchtime I dedicated a few minutes at StagCaptain. This is the outcome (pencil on yellow tracing paper ;-)
I decided to fill his antlers with ribbons instead of the helmet with the camouflage thingies. Can't quite replicate the pensive look. But by looking at the picture I got distracted by the dangling wrist ;-)

cherin love the latest addition to the stag gallery. I think you have captured the pensive look but I particularly like the hooves clutching the vest thingy.
Coco pops next or mic swinging? (And am still holding out for a tender scene of hoof inspection - stag secretly checking Molly out)

orphan · 14/11/2014 15:19

Enjoy your evening. Keep an eye out for CJ look alike...Smile
