We still don't know if there is any significance to Mark's son. Tony killed Ian and Ian's wife is off her tree thinking she is on a boat (but never was)

so how does Tony get away scott free once he's committed murder...?

But Ian is missing and now presumed dead, so if tony murdered him on the boat why was his body not found? Could Ian have disappeared in his boat therefore Tony not guilty of murder?
