Anyone watching , so far quite tense especially the music

OP posts:
noddyholder · 21/11/2014 16:50

I agree, wooden actress

Celticlass2 · 21/11/2014 17:04

Yep. This is the only thing that's spoiling it for me. The actress is really wooden. Can see someone like Olivia Coleman in this role perfectly.

ginnycreeper5 · 21/11/2014 17:06

Her face seems to hold only one expression.

Celticlass2 · 21/11/2014 17:07

her face seems to hold only one expression yes, botoxed.

Bakeoffcakes · 21/11/2014 18:43

I've just watched episode 4- it's bloody brilliant isnt it.

And I too am in love with Baptiste.

He voice, his accent, his coat.........Grin

About the piece of paper Ian made Tony sign for the money, I have a theory.

I wonder if it is actually an agreement for the adoption of Ollie, so if Ian and his wife are ever caught, he can say Tony was given the money in exchange for his son and Tony has fabricated the whole "abduction". It's probably far too far fetched though.

Bakeoffcakes · 21/11/2014 18:48

I've just been googling a bit and happened to come across some info about the actor who plays Baptiste. He's called Tchecky Karyo and he has in the past made an album.
"In 2006 Tcheky released the critically acclaimed album Ce lien qui nous unit and followed this up in 2013 with Credo"

I think I've found some extra presents for my Xmas list Grin

Ohmygrood · 21/11/2014 20:28

ooh la la!

spiderlight · 21/11/2014 20:35

It has taken me four episodes to realise that Emily's new husband is the liaison officer Blush Facial recognition is not my strong point.

CrapBag · 21/11/2014 20:42

bakeoff you may have it!

That form was not purely about Tony being able to access the money. Ian is always there anyway so it wouldn't be a problem.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2014 23:18

Blondes head explodes

Thank god I have you lot to decipher and explain plot to me

It's very long winded and really needed do be 4 hrs not 8!!!!

LillianGish · 21/11/2014 23:20

Excellent theory bakeoff. Not sure how Vincent can be Ken Stott's son - wouldn't he speak better English? I think Ken Stott's boat is crucial to the plot somehow. Where is Ken Stott's wife - oft mentioned never seen?

BringMeTea · 22/11/2014 11:37

This thread reminds of the Broadchurch one. All the mnetters had amazing and plausible theories and the actual denouement was shite in comparison. I fear this may be going the same way folks! Grin

diddl · 22/11/2014 11:44

Does the using of the cellar show some planning do we think?

Or was it still an opportunistic grab & the cellar was a bit of luck?

eddiemairswife · 22/11/2014 14:40

I only realised who Emily's new husband was when I read it on here. Otherwise I still wouldn't know. He hasn't got a very interesting face.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2014 18:06

lol you two

i worked out new hubby was plo

Cocolepew · 23/11/2014 19:17

I thought Ian only looked odd when JN mentioned Vincent again. As if hes worried about JN delving into Vincent.
All acting is great , especially JN. Wife is crap though

BingoBonkers · 24/11/2014 06:27

Adore Baptiste. His voice is so soothing.

Surely one of the first things Stott would have mentioned to JN was that he had a missing daughter? Kind of significant, important and gives them a connection.

Def think drug addict girl/teacher has had a slashed throat. Reckon she has been held hostage somewhere hence her reaction to hearing a door slam.

I'm not sure I am in agreement about the Stott/Vincent being father and son.

Nancy that is brilliant!

DH is a PITA to watch TV with because he guesses everything and is usually annoyingly right.

MarthasHarbour · 25/11/2014 11:02

Marking my place for tonight Smile

rebelfor · 25/11/2014 11:33

Wooden wife is the robot's mum in A.I (Artificial Intelligence) and is pretty wooden in that too.

Also slightly love Baptiste, only in the modern day though when he's rugged. Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 25/11/2014 11:56

I have to pick DD2 up from Guides at 9 Angry

grocklebox · 25/11/2014 12:34

The garage didn't say it was a flat battery (wouldn't have gone like that, and would have been easy to charge) but a failed battery, in which case you would need a new one which they might well not have had to hand?

Corrupt french polis is in a french prison, not an english one.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2014 15:49

why isnt there a bbc1 +1 on sky, have nearly every other channel as a +1 including itv, ch4/5/fox/living etc
