Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

I think Anna mentioned in passing how great the stairlift (up to the flat)was. When was it put in? Where did they get the dosh?

Agree that Katy and Izzy are being ridiculous. I am also (like an earlier poster) surprised at Anna letting Owen and his brood tear strips of Gary. The Kylie story is so boring and ridiculous - as if she would just leave her kids (again) after building up a reformed character because David told her to or would phone ex to pick her up. Pretty awful year for Corrie all round.

I have given Gail a thumbs up because of Michael, who I like ( I know I'm in the minority here), it's only the double act I like, on their own I would happily shoot them.

And no way Nick! In fact I'm promoting him to my shoot list...

Right Kylie has gone, which is a start. I hope she doesn't come back.

Love Sally's comments. She is the best character in it at the moment.

So who could do with a brilliant storyline and what could it be?

A Gary suicide storyline would work for me. Sorry who's Steph?

The best part over the last few days was the Kevin and Tim playing Scalectrix with Jack looking on bemused - everything else was boring.

Why is Sinead so anti Roy? Her family are well rough and I can't imagine that Beth would bat an eyelid at taking a baseball bat if she stumbled on a burglar. She just seemed to have a made a whole pearl clutching meal out of it, as if Gary was totally blameless.
He's quite thick though, thinking that Roy would be keeping money in the till over the holidays (esp with all the people in for christmas and the gang of hoodies hanging around).

I'm enjoying watching Tony squirm, going to be fireworks there when Liz finds out about Tracey.

I'm also a little surprised that Anna isn't sticking up for Gary more, she's always been so strongly protective of him and Faye. They've shown a nicer side to Faye in this storyline at least.

The only one I care about at the moment is poor, sad Steve. Do Max's tablets really work that well in real life? Why is he always put to bed at the same time as Lily?

A Gary suicide plot would be good - interesting to watch plus we get rid of one of that awful family.

Have they decided not to do the Faye pregnancy plot? I was a bit worried that Gary might end up being the dad.

Yes Steve is great but I'm not keen on the comedy angle of his depression which they sometimes add in.

I like Gail and david but despise Michael Gavin and nick. Hate Tracey. Kev creeps me out and I know someone who knows him in rl so I suppose that clouds my judgement. Really like sally and tim.

I just cant warm to yasmeeeeeeen and her ridiculous family and community centre. As izzy is always at annas why didn't anna et al move in with izzy as her flat is bigger?

Has Sally changed over the years? I have dipped in and out a lot, but i think she is more air headed/thick than she was years ago.

Someone needs to give Steve a hug-any volunteers?

I hope we are going to have some funny chicken related scenes with Sally and her new neighbours.

Re the stairlift ,it was casually mentioned, when they moved in, that they picked one up "round the corner for next to nothing" as you do!

I LOVE Steve! But does anybody else think Michelle is horrible to him? To the point of it actually making me uncomfortable? I think it's supposed to be funny and it isn't.

Who looks after Jake while Izzy works?

Nobody has mentioned Ken. I suppose he's with Deirdre and Bev, but where on earth is Simon? All of his various 'carers' seem to be busy with their own emotional and sexual lives.

As we are nearing the end of this thread I have started a new one for us to continue moaning about characters we hate and plots we dislike, and to talk about how lovely Steve is.
