Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

Why did Tyrone need a big tree? Aren't the children with Fizz and Cilla?

I'm not sure where the children are but Tyrone said something like 'wait til David hears we are spending Christmas with Cilla', so I guess he didn't really need it.

Agree loved the David/Tyrone scene, although David should have got the tree.

I loved the Xmas tree scuffle ("My eye!") but what do you expect when you insist on buying your tree from the corner shop? Surely it's not the only purveyor of Xmas trees in Weatherfield?

Yasmeen and co are really getting on my wick. All right I'm not keen on Gary but they way they totally smothered Alya was infuriating, then were really dismissive of Gail bringing the tea round - can't bear them! Agree they should be off street like Audrey, all of them packed into that house are stretching even Corrie's elastic walls.

Well, we all saw that coming. Liz will throttle her.

I'm afraid I roared laughing. I know it was probably meant to seem very passionate, but it looked hilarious to me.

Love how quickly the wheels of justice turn in Corrie. Rob was arrested a couple of weeks ago and he's been tried and sentenced already yet not one witness from the Street was called. Not even Carla or Tracey

Red,* there wasn't a trail because he admitted it. Just straight to sentencing.

lol I lost interest in that storyline and fast forwarded so much of it I missed that. Knew he'd fessed to Carla didn't realise he'd pled guilty. Jeez I'm turning into my mum fast forwarding too much and missing stuff

Hope Gavin stays around...he can just tell Moaning Michael a few more lies . ' Yes, I went to the doctor, I don't have a heart condition...'

Oh no, was lulled into a false sense of security without Lloyd's girlfriend in it for a while. Her , Izzy and Katie need to get on the bus and leave Weatherfield.

Silly really, but I keep getting Gavin and Callum mixed up. That dolls' house is ridiculous for Lily. She's only 1 year old.

I've said it before, but I'm so fed up seeing Katie swanning round with no sign of Joseph. She was even pushing Issys child's pram tonight, but no mention of her own son. It's like he doesn't exist.

Also finding it very far fetched that Deirdre wouldn't return for Christmas(almost as far fetched as her not being there to support Tracey-luv) Think they should have come up with a more plausible reason for her to be away for so long given the family storyline and the time of year.

I usually can't bear Gary, but even I felt sorry for him tonight. Kal's become really dislikeable overnight.

I haven't watched for a while as les Dennis is just unbeatable to watch. Switched back on to see Kylie still hasn't fucked off yet. She must be corries most loathsome, repetitive, annoying character (and she had a lot of competition from the likes of Michael, Michelle, anna, izzy, katy, ty, fizz, leanne....)

Les is unbearable. And yes, unbeatable in the whimpering simpering moaning stakes.

I switched on briefly during the first episode and there was Les Dennis moaning as usual. Dreadful character.
Please let Kylie go soon, and I hope they forget to bring her back.

I loved the back room of the pub how it was decorated. Esp the bowl of baubles on the table! I like being as much as Liz!

On the plus side, the jolly arrival of Kim Tate (oops, Erica) has livened up the usually tedious and mono-expressioned Nick. Another one who can't act!

Tony should be quaking in his boots - plenty of scope for Tracy-luv come the 25th! My only question is: who will Ken spend Xmas day with?

I'd forgotten about Ken, re Christmas. Maybe he will spend it with Si...who thankfully is temporarily off screen.
Tracy mentioned just her and Amy being due to visit Deirdre. It's a bit silly, that there isn't a better storyline for Deirdre's lengthy absence, than being with Bev.
I hope that the actress is okay.

I'm guessing there will be indigestion (at the very least ) when Tony, Tracy and Liz are having their Christmas dinner

Just caught up on bits I missed last night. I love scenes with Carla and Roy together, both excellent characters.

That Xmas dinner isgoing to be v funny!
