Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

Tony has been spectacularly stupid hasn't he? I'm loving Erica winding Gail up too. Gail was funny saying she used to flirt from under her hair like Princess Di.

Did anyone watch Christmas eves episode ? At the very end kylies ex Callum does a weird growl thing after Kyle throws all his drugs on the floor , I can't stop laughing watching it!

Two things. Why did a random girl blow that party thing in Lloyd's face? Do you think she won a competition to appear in the show?

Also, as Lloyd was being driven away in the taxi, they showed a shot of an ironmongery called Ecclestone's or something facing us from the other side of the arch. I was a bit disorientated because it looked like the Rovers was on the right behind the bus stop which means the view under the arch should have been a road stretching away into the distance. Anyone?

Well - settled down to look at yesterday's episode on re-play - took all of 5 mins after fastforwarding the families we all agree are deadly boring - the only bit I watched was the sofa - reinstallation.. Not hoping for much with the yawn-yawn druggy revelations in today's episode - just hoping 2015 will bring more of the good stuff we've been starved of recently...

Yes it was rubbish. Very dull and flat. Why does every xmas episode have to revolve around the despicable kylie? Hopefully shes gone for good now.

I cant abide owens family or the nazirs who also featured. Even the party in the rovers was boring.

Yes, Emmerdale, she was the glamorous wife of Frank Tate who was rich and old enough to be her dad, she was selfish and devious, eventually left him to die and ran off with her younger lover after checking whether he was still breathing or not with her handbag mirror, a great character. That must have been 20 years ago, haven't seen her in anything else since.

It's so stupid though.

Max suddenly, out of the blue, is off the wall and has drugs which Kylie turns to - no explanation or backstory.

I absolutely HATE David, although I do think the actor portraying him does a good job. But - sanctimonious, smug, sociopathic. Horrible character.

As Anna would let everyone tear shreds off Gary too (and why was Gary with that beautiful Asian girl - as if she would be interested in Gary!)

I take it too seriously I know!!

That fake Mumbai accent the Asian actress playing the mother makes me want to cringe.

I thought that too, especially when they first met. I doubt that a drunken Gary turns into an intelligent, witty and entertaining companion, she can't even blame beer goggles.
TBH I don't understand why they are all blaming Gary about Izzy. He isn't psychic, and never gave her any encouragement that I could see. As for the younger sister mouthing off at any opportunity, maybe someone should remind her it wasn't so long ago she was cheating on the father of her child with Michelle's coke head son.

I wonder if they are going for a suicide storyline for Gary, which I actually think would work.

He's young, frustrated, poor, unemployed and now everyone hates him!

But the problem is the Armstrong/Windass family are too tight and it's creepy. Izzy and Gary, Owen and Anna doesn't work - especially with Faye in the equation.

I actually quite liked Faye when she gave Gary that £20.

I agree about Izzy and Katie, did no one pull her up for her 'snake' comment and she is a shallow selfish person.

How did Izzy get up to the flat and also she dumped Garry didn't she? Hope Gary gets a break.

I don't like Sian much either.

You'd think Yasmeen would be having second thoughts about moving into the street after another 'wrong' relationship in her family. I can't wait for Tracey to make a pass at Kal's son and him fall for her. Hilarious!

and whats with huge families who own businesses eg. the gym lot, moving into a two up two down next to Sally who works in the factory? about as believable as the headmaster who lived with Julie, is everyone in corny paid a flat rate, no matter what job they do?
