Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

If any child had gone through what Simon has they'd be in permanent therapy!

And yes what about Fix' s lift conversion/hole in the ceiling!

So yes a two bed flat with Anna, Owen, Gary, probably his son occasionally, Katie, Joseph and Faye. Hilarious!

I know Simon's only a child but he's a terrible actor. Over acts every scene he's in. Why can't he just act like a child, always trying to be grown up.

Oh please let Simon go with Peter.

Question for you all. In Wednesday's episode when Cilla was offering to look after Joseph for Katie, she said she'd brought up three children of her own. Fiz, Ches and who?

I cant remember Billy either and nobody talks about him !

He doesn't ring any bells with me either. Funny how he never, ever gets mentioned though.

Katie lives with Steph, in the flat Steph shared with Tina.
It's unclear, since, in the Windass house, he always spent a LOT of time 'upstairs'..., but presumably Joseph lives in the flat with her. Even though we never saw him there, or anything in the flat to suggest a child lives in it...

Gary just lurks on the street waiting, just waiting, not sure what for. At the moment it's for Alya to appear. So they don't need to factor him in, in the two bed flat.

The Cilla scenes have been disappointing.That silly air-freshener bit - stupid and unfunny!

So is Hope going with Fiz? Will the place at her childminder's be kept open? Is Fiz's job safe? How will they manage financially? So many trivial questions go through my head...

It seems the Cilla story was just a ruse to enable the Fizz actress to have maternity leave.

And why does Simon still have to be taken to school?

I vaguely remember Billy. I think he was talked about rather than appeared, he was the favoured older son iirc. I have a half memory of a photo of him in military uniform that Cilla had? I just googled and he apparently appeared once at Cilla's wedding.

Where does Issy live? Where is her baby? Actually, I don't want to see either, but wondering.

According to Corriepedia Izzy and child live at 28 Grayling Street. No idea where that is.

I've just been trawling maps of Weatherfield and I can't find Grayling Street! Even the 'street finder' one in The Sun from 1996 doesn't appear to have it, unless I have missed it.

Izzy always had her own specially adapted flat in some 'off street' location. Bit like Audrey's house, we see it every now and then but it's not on the street.

I hope you all noticed that Ken was wearing his kimono last night, and also pyjamas!

Jill that kimono is terrifying as far as I'm concerned! it has now touched the private areas of Ken, Gail and presumably Les Dennis- ugh!!

Tracyluv's comment to Peter about the sparks flying off it being enough to light up the national grid was though.

I also have an aversion to Ken's jowls, very unkind of me as I'm sure he can't help it. Although I do feel he allows them to wibble unnecessarily at times, usually when he's angry or fired up.

PLEASE GOD don't let Ken and Yasmeen have an affair. He always goes for ladies with an interest in culture and intellectual matters and I could just see him fancying her. They would be insufferable together.

I'm sure she's too morally correct to have an affair. I hope.

Possibly.....but then I also thought they might have something between Carla and Ken.
