Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

I'm always trying to flounce from Corrie but just can't go through with it Smile

I may need a break too as I think I am starting to like David Shock

ZebraZeebra · 05/11/2014 19:44

Is Tracey doing a bunk with Rob and leaving Amy??

thenightsky · 05/11/2014 19:51

How old is Maria? I think she must be about 40 as she's been around the Street forever.

That lad they were setting her up with must be about 23 max.

Fixerupperz · 05/11/2014 19:59

So glad Tracey did that. What was the murder weapon I've missed a bit recently

DontGotoRoehampton · 05/11/2014 20:05
  • Good episode - good acting from Rob & Tracey.
  • Also, good set up for Todd for future episodes.
  • Sean , love the eye-rolling
  • YASMEEN - retire her
  • Mechanic and Hairdresser (can't be bothered to remember their names) = boring fillers
Fixerupperz · 05/11/2014 20:14

I cannot stand whinging mario.

Camolips · 05/11/2014 20:31

Well, I didn't guess the Tracey ending at all! Although why did she turn him in? I understand her not going with him but it was out of character for her to do the right thing! Missed the egging. Did Todd set it up to make himself look good or was he really a hero?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 05/11/2014 20:46

Loved Roy buying the pint and Audrey 'those two lovely lads up on the Brokebaxk mountain'.

Sockstealer · 05/11/2014 20:50

Ooh Tracy did the right thing! That was a good episode. Makes Tracy more likeable showing her vulnerability sometimes.

She did it because she'd given Rob a false alibi, she didn't want the police thinking she was in on it, going to prison and losing Amy in the process.

I like her showing her softer side with Amy and I think Amy is fab, a right little madam but very cute.

Sockstealer · 05/11/2014 20:56

Roy buying the pint was fab, I think Todd is trying to turn over a new leaf. We need more episodes like that.

Now Corrie please get rid of Yasmeen and her bunch and Corrie will be back at it's best.

alemci · 06/11/2014 08:36

i think Maria is a similar age to Tyrone but she isn't as youthful as they make her appear.

desperatehousewife21 · 06/11/2014 10:15

I'd say early to mid 30s for Maria.

Jill2015 · 06/11/2014 10:21

I was watching an old episode recently where Maria and Tyrone were together, when they were both quite young. They were sweet together.
She doesn't seem to have much of a role now really.

Jill2015 · 06/11/2014 10:55

Just saw this online about Simon Gregson The 40-year-old actor - who stars as Rovers Return landlord Steve McDonald in the TV3 soap - has reportedly been hit by a mystery illness and will have to be temporarily written out of storylines while he waits for hospital test results.

Poor Simon / Steve, hope he is okay.

Pastamancer · 06/11/2014 10:57

No! My poor darling, fingers crossed he is ok.

emsiewill · 06/11/2014 11:26

More on Simon Gregson here. All sounds a bit worrying, hope it's sorted for him soon.

Camolips · 06/11/2014 16:10

Oh no! That link makes it sound serious Shock He's a lynchpin of the street bringing together the pub, Streetcars and the Barlows, I can't imagine him not being around.

Jill2015 · 06/11/2014 16:15

Apparently he has now tweeted that he is due back in on Monday, so hopefully that is correct.

Pastamancer · 06/11/2014 16:20

Yep, I follow him on Twitter while waiting for him to propose

simon gregson ?@simongregson123 4h4 hours ago

Afternoon thanks for messages people I was ?? now ?? back in Monday to annoy @alanhalsall, hooray.

Jill2015 · 06/11/2014 16:37

Yes, that was the message I saw.
Phew.
Now, about this proposal Wink

emsiewill · 06/11/2014 17:16

Wow! So someone got something wrong somewhere along the line...talk about storm in a teacup!

Jill2015 · 06/11/2014 18:27

I'm just glad that he is okay.

thenightsky · 07/11/2014 20:54

'How's that wine going down?'

'Like a greased ferret' Grin

eddiemairswife · 07/11/2014 22:31

Poor little Joseph. Dad and girlfriend having meal with grandma and aunt, Mum having drinks with paramedic, grandfather cooking twice-fried chips for partner. He is only mentioned when dad and girlfriend decide to take some casserole home for him. It's about time the scriptwriters thought about the practicalities of having young children, and the arrangements parents have to make to ensure their care.

Listmaker · 07/11/2014 23:09

Yes poor little Joseph! And now Cilla is finish to stay in what I guess is a two bedroom house that already houses Kirk, Beth, Craig, Chesney and Siobhan...ans presumably occasionally Joseph? Hilarious. Where do they all sleep? Same at the Windasses...Owen, Anna, Faye, Gary, Katie and Joseph!! Elastic houses!
