Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

Cant stand cilla. Why bring her back. Beth looks the same and is a great character.

Can we rewind a second? DH asked me earlier why Rob killed Tina. I think lack of sleep may have sent some memory banks into hibernation, cos I could not for the life of me think why. It's slightly beyond the scope of fraternal loyalty, isn't it?

He didn't mean to, initially. Wasn't she going to tell Carla that Peter & her were running off together? She was mad because Peter stood her up & she found them celebrating Carla's pregnancy in the pub.

He (Rob) was talking to her on the balcony above the builders yard, they struggled & Tina fell. She didn't die from the fall though, and when Rob got to her, she was about to get up & go see Carla. He hit her with a metal pipe.

Yes he didn't mean to kill her but was struggling with her and trying to stop her going to see Carla. However, that didn't kill her but the enormous whack with the iron bar did when Tina told him she was going to tell that he had pushed her. I do find Rob's over protectiveness of Carla inconsistent with previous storylines as he was quite happy to rip her off and steal from her. I think she did say that she knew they sold dodgy stuff at the pawn shop as well though.

Is the wedding on Friday?

Also she was threatening to tell all about his knock-off deals with Tony.

Hello. I am watching the omnibus and sort of picking up what's what. But what is the matter with Steve?

Depression. Steve walked out when the Dr suggested it so not a formal diagnosis

He's with Michelle and not me :o

I think it is just everything getting on top of him, they have been building up to it for a while with lots of little things like his birthday, the airport run obsession etc.

Poor Steve. He's one of the few believable characters.

I do watch with a face like this most of the time.

Is it not time for a character clearout?

Good to see Steve getting a proper storyline for once. Hes a great actor.

I am quite liking Liz and her boyfriend. Tracey Barlow is just a caricature now and needs to go,and take Ken with her.

Les Dennis's character is a bit odd. Could he not be a bit more fun?

Ok, maybe swap garage boy out and agree maybe Roy be pensioned off?

Roy could go and visit his mum for a unspecified amount of time and Anna, Owen and Fay could move into the flat and run the cafe. Cal's parents buy their house and then rent it out to Leanne, Cal and Simon, and Eva and Jason could have the flat on their own. This way accommodation could return to pre-tardis dimensions.

Regarding Sally, on her own, yes, waste of space but as Tim's straight man she is perfect. Maybe get rid of Sawfee instead?

I heard a rumour Gail's daughter (Sarah?) is returning with her now teenage daughter.
How will they all fit in the house?

Eileen had about 15 living at her house at one time - they'll be fine!

Kylie's leaving so I'm assuming Sarah-Lou and Bethany will be moving in. Someone will be sleeping on the sofa unless Jason is building another loft extension in double-quick time.

I wish Martin Platt would jack in the cheese making and come back and sort it all out.
