Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

at least Sarah Lou can pass the benefit of her wisdom onto Faye about the realities of being a knocked up schoolgirl.

Wonder if Bethany's role is to lead Faye astray Or do we think they've dropped that unsavoury story-line?

Oh Hildas I LOVED Percy too. Such a useful man, making soup,polishing shoes, doing the windows. My DM and I used to say we'd love to have him as a lodger. She gave me a Percy keyring once.... And he always looked so clean and smart(his army training no doubt.)

Quite enjoyed tonight with Rita and Audrey tipsy at the opening and Emily's face when Sharif was applauded instead of her. Kylie story was another yawnfest and does Cilla really have osteoporosis or was she having Sinead on?

It does look daft but what could they do if Anne Kirkbride needed time off?

Steve is playing a blinder with the depression story, made me laugh with the customer on the phone 'love you' thing then being all sad again.

Rubbish excuse for Deirdre missing Tracey-luv's wedding. Surely they could have come up with something more plausible. How far away is Bev meant to live - Australia?!

It really was pathetic - no way would Deidre miss Tracey's wedding. Does make me worry about Anne Kirkbride though - do we know why she's away?

Yes, if they'd known the actress was going on leave then a wedding would have been a ridiculous storyline. So the wedding must have been planned and the actress's absence was unforeseen. Hope she is ok.

Unless she is coming back for the actual wedding?

Or might Rob get arrested before the wedding?

I read that it was because of exhaustion.

I get that they couldn't have foreseen it, but why not just do that ting where they film others, mentioning her being there?

I dunno, like Ken telling Tracey that he is getting her a drink/she's in the loo etc?

I don't think anything would have worked well to give Anne Kirkbride the time off she needed other than postponing the wedding but then that would have probably upset other story arcs. I just hope she recovers soon, I love Deidrie.

They could have just given the Bride's mum a HUGE hat, and we wouldn't have been able to see who was under it!!

Shes always been annoying. But the writers tried to switch Her cHaracter and make her into earth mother.

How old is Joseph? He looked very large last night.

Don't you think Beth and Cilla are very similar.

Last time we saw Joseph he was a baby - last night it was like he'd skipped about 2 years!

Joseph will be 3 at Christmas, he was born in the manger during the nativity play I recollect.

I thought so too liverpoolone. Amazing how they come on in that Corrie creche!
