I like Kay Mellor and it has a great cast. Anyone else giving it a go?

Continuing the pregnancy bingo -

Partner having an affair during pregnancy with the added twist of it being the pregnant lesbian having an affair with the man who got her pregnant Shock

You can decide for yourselves whether I'm in shock or yawning at this subplot Wink

Enjoying it but can't help but feel Milly Jonsons book The Yorkshire Pudding Club has be plagiarised slightly.

I enjoyed the way that the fake stomach on Jill Halfpenny looked like a flip top astronaut's helmet after they extracted the 2nd twin.

ditto at quick recovery after cs, my boss had an emergency cs last sat eve and even on friday so 6 days later she was wincing and finding moving hard - no way she would or could have leapt out of bed a few hours later

tho really enjoying, so roll on tomorrow :)

Dilemma - to watch or not? The trailer almost has me hooked back in, but it'll be crap again, won't it?

It is quite unrealistic, I too though Jill Halfpenny's recovery from a vaginal birth, emcs and general anaesthetic was nothing short of miraculous. The whole Will Mellor on the run and arrest thing was was ridiculous.

Someone mentioned baby swapping further up the thread, I think that this was hinted at last week when Roanna said that the boy twin looked different.

Definitely agree that Roanna's penchant for alcohol will lead to something

What's wrong with a bit of crap telly? Grin

I'm quite enjoying it, but I think I might have to stay off the thread as you're all to clever spotting things that are going to turn up.

Ooh I missed her saying the boy twin looked different. When was that?

Report
floellabenjaminsearrings · 19/08/2014 14:56

It was when she went through to see them rather rudely I thought given that she knew rick was about to be arrested--. She said something like "I can't believe how much he's changed already" and Jill Halfpenny said "he's been cleaned up that's all""

Finding it all so cliched and cringe. But had a baby 4 months ago and have to fill maternity with something. Like the subject matter even though everything else has been awful so far.

Will Mellor getting an armed robbery case heard and sentenced so quickly in a magistrates court is ridiculous. Poor research. I hate that.

Where do I know 'Sandra' (Roz's husband's secretary) from?

She looks so familiar, and Google and IMDB are not helping...

juneybean · 19/08/2014 21:33

She looks like the lassy out of corrie (les's daughter? toyah is it?) but pretty sure it's not her

Report
Lagoonablue · 19/08/2014 21:37

She was a barmaid in Corry for a while.

IScreamForIceCream · 19/08/2014 21:41

Ooh, you're good.
So she is - coronationstreet.wikia.com/wiki/Geena_Gregory

And in real life she is married to (the Corrie character) drug dealer Jez Quigley.
