Once went to my cousins for dinner, no sherry so she put half a bottle of maraschino liqueur in the trifle, god it was lush.

My mum hates cooking, absolutely hates it, I have no idea what I would cook if I was representing her, probably something I could fling in the oven, leave it their for hours and hope for the best, "well there is always cereal I suppose" was her answer to everything food related

But she is an absolute sweetheart who I would be lost without, and she loves coming to mine for dinner or eating out, eating out is her most favourite thing in the whole world. she persuades my Dad to eat out at least four times a week, and the poor man only ever wants the roast of the day
