Why is it that none of these dozy contestants appear to have watched Masterchef before? Surely they know there will always be a mass catering task with deadline to serve up in.

Why is it beyond them to think in advance of a few recipes which don't need too much preparation and where timing isn't all that crucial, i.e. beef stew and dumplings, shepherd's pie, and which would go down well?

I will say for Amanda that at least she produced things that represented a bit of a challenge. Making an Eton Mess isn't cooking.

I disagree with the idea that they shouldn't get past contestants in as judges, clearly they are people who know about food, and the fact that they have been through the contest themselves is helpful. But it's quite revealing that the one who keeps turning up is Andi Peters, I suspect he hasn't got a lot else to do.

Just caught up. I can't/don't cook but I DO know that tarte Tarim should be caramelised. And I could do better than that Emma with her but of fish and salad. DH and I are convinced that there are usually some better cooks than this at this stage but I'm not sure it's true. I love JSP, stroppy cah!

Essentially, top a pizza. Not particularly taxing for the average 8 yo.

And be careful. ovens are hot so don't go near. Ask John and Greg a grown up to help you here.

The bbc have mixed up the challenge in this box with the recipe for I can cook this week. Some 6 year olds in another studio somewhere are staring at a box of samphire and figs.

Jays us, Leslie's pizza looks rough. She forgot the sauce?! She seems a bit, I don't know, dazed?

I never use a rolling pin when I make pizza. Neither do the folk working in any pizza restaurant I've ever been to. John is talking shit.

Not knowing how to make pizza isn't an issue for this challenge.

This says it all - the Chelsea Socialite made a pizza when she was about 10!

I actually think the 6 year olds on I can cook would do a better job of assembling a pizza than this lot.
