Personally I love game of thrones but it's hard to summarise, as there is multiple storylines.
It's the story of a number of families, and their alliegences and enemies. It's set in a vaguely medieval world, but with added elements of fantasy. Quite a bit of sex and violence, and has some of the most shocking and emotional storylines over ever seen.
An amazing multinational cast and stunning sets.

We love it.

Thing is, the crappier certain elements are the more I admire George Martin, because he's made it compelling DESPITE it having dragons and wooden acting and stuff.
The storytelling is just SO good, and the awesome characters are just SO awesome.

Well, it is Fantasy, a bit dungeons and dragons. I can see people not liking it.

It's amazing, get through the first couple of episodes and you will be hooked.

I'm joining you lot as I have managed to watch from series 1 in the last week. My sofa has a giant arse print in it but it was totally worth it. I'm still not sure who my favourite is. I love the scenes with Jamie and Briann. Like the pp said its strange how you kind of gloss over Jamie throwing bran out of the window.

Can't wait to see tonights ep, will be so good to watch in real time. Its v hard to stay away from spoilers.

Actually, I think I know who did it, but don't want to give spoilers. I noticed a couple of clues though.

I think it was at least two people acting together, using another (innocent) person as a sort of mule.

It's that Prince innit? Or Margaery.

Definitly think it was ser dontos ... he said to sansa just before it he died come now or stay here and die as if he knew joffrey was going to get killed and tyrion and sansa will get blame.

in the books hes been planning sansa escape since book 2.
