GRRM has talked about wanting the audience to think nobody's safe.

I think I miss out on a lot of the surprises because I haven't read enough fantasy, so when he subverts the conventions of the genre it goes right over my head.

It sure worked . I am no good at predicting who will die next - the only ones who I am pretty sure are safe are the ones I want to die: the Bolton's, nasty ex-Night Watchmen, the Wildlings except Ygritte and boring Stannis Baratheon.

and we've all stopped talking about Dany...... It's all by the by...she's got bloody dragons!!!!!! I think who she marries next is going to decide who lives and who dies. She HAS to end up with all the power surely??

And then the white walkers will come south and they're all fucked. They all fight on the same side. Lose. End up in a church and it's all been a weird dream that no one understands

Or maybe at the end, the dragons will just eat everyone

See, I think it'd be all too simplistic for Dany to just swoop in and take over. Imagine it - all the intrigue, all the fighting between the characters, then one day she appears with the dragons, bit of fire etc, every other major player is dead just like that, Dany on the throne, bob's your uncle, the end.

Theres got to be some major twists for Dany yet.

I also miss Drogo. Man was a sexy Jafar.

I only watched the first 3 series last month so the Ned Stark bit is very fresh for me. I was not expecting it at all. By the red wedding I was prepared for a shock. No death surprises me anymore.

Yy to missing Kahl Drogo. He is gorgeous. I got emotional when he came back in the dreamy bit with the baby.

Yes - we need more Khal Drogo flashbacks.

I really want Jaqen H'ghar (with his original face) to reappear, he was pretty sexy and badass.

I agree about Jaqen H'ghar (with his original face) - definitely the most mysterious character in the whole thing to date

I reckon he will show up to help Arya at some point (hopefully sporting original face). She still has the coin doesn't she?

The trouble with Khal Drogo is that he has enormous breasts.

I reckon Dany goes a bit power mad and no ones knows how to handle her and they think she is going a bit like her brother and grandfather. (Stark staring bonkers)

I am of the opinion that the Targaryens don't actually have any special connection with the dragons at all. They just knew how to train them. Now that knowledge is lost, so a dragon is just a really big wild animal that can breathe fire.

Ummm, they must have some kind of connection, all.that impervious to fire stuff.
If there wasn't, then Dany would have been immolated by Drogo's funeral pyre.

I reckon at some stage Dany will unleash the dragons on someone who has Targaryan blood and they will fight for their new master or mistress. I cannot see Dany getting the throne somehow.

I am thinking the dragons might turn on her. They are getting very naughty.

Yup dragons eat her. The rest are so busy fighting over the throne they don't see the White Walker threat till they get eaten. Stannis thinks he is the one to sort out everything and gets killed by white walkers along with everyone else on the wall.

Only those in the far north warg and such survive even the wildlings die.

Small northern population survives because everything else went south. Walkers get roasted by dragons or die off in the spring and the dragons die due to the cold.

Small human warg population left to revert back to the old gods. No one wins the throne as Westeros reverts back to 7 kingdoms.
