bit of an aside but is anyone watching new worlds on channel 4 - the cast is like a get together of some of the GOT cast! I have seen at least 4 members and have only watched one episode. Not a bad drama either.

Will the marriage still count if they didn't sleep together? I don't think margaery knew but the grandmother was definitely behind it imo.

I don't think Tywin would stand for Margaery ruling on her own, if he cannot oust her maybe he would try and marry Jaime off to Margaery to keep a Lannister on the throne?

Margaery isn't the queen until she's had sex with the king at the very least. Jaime can't take the throne as he's kingsguard and in any case neither Lannister man is in the line of succession. It's stannis or tommen now.

That's why I don't understand Oleannas motivation for offing Joffrey, she has just lost their family the throne. Hmmmm I'm sure all will be clear in time!

I thought there was something up with the necklace!!!!

I'm re watching last week's. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any clues.

Can't wait for tonight. I've rewatched and I definitely think the necklace and what one specific character does with it is the key. The fool must know, too.

It definitely looked like the very last gem on the Necklace was gone.

Oh and Granny Tyrell says to Sansa "what kind of monster would kill someone at a wedding?" Ironic!

Surely a bit hit-or-miss to give someone a necklace containing poison and then hope she wears it to the wedding? What if she went on style and beauty and was advised it didn't go with her frock?
Granny could have just worn the necklace herself. I think she might have had motive as it's not hard to imagine someone like Joffrey getting angry with his wife and bringing the crossbow out again.

I was trying to think of what would have happened if the poisoned gem had got stuck! She slipped it off very easily didn't she?! Or what if it had fallen off in sansa's dinner? A risky strategy I think.

I haven't seen the trailer, but I find it difficult to imagine that Margaery would have acted with such equanimity at marrying a monster like Joffrey if she hadn't known it wasn't going to be for long. I've read the books and always assumed she was in on it, tbh.

That's true about the necklace actually. Why wouldn't Granny Tyrell just keep a vial in her robes? Why use Sansa as a mule? Unless the person giving the poison and the person using the poison couldn't meet together for whatever reason.

Oooo I've just seen tonights episode.

How Lumiona? I think I'm going to have to wait til tomorrow now. DH is working tonight, and we watch it together.

On the interweb, its shown on HBO in US on sunday night so is available today.

Just seen 'Breaker of Chains'. It wasn't a jaw-droppingly dramatic episode, but moved several plot-lines along nicely. In the Sersei & Jaime's subplot, not quite so nicely.

I think the director misjudged the scene between Sersei & Jaime in the Sept.

And I have no idea where Littlefinger's accent is going or where it will end up.

I didn't like that scene with Jaime. Nice to see Little finger though.

worriedsick100 I've been watching New Worlds, it's very watchable, quite enjoying it. The history is a bit dodgy though.

I've seen this week's episode. Jaime is nasty little man. I take it back, he is not redeemed.

And yes, what is going on with Littlefinger's accent?! It seems to have gone on a jaunt around the British Isles.

Even for GoT the Sept scene was a wtabf moment.
