It's a bit soon for me to have an opinion yet, but it looks interesting enough that I'm recording it to watch later with DH...

I think I'm going to, Black ... I'm also holding out thanks to this thread Grin The damn story won't get out of my mind, though, so I suspect one fix a week won't suffice.

Just watched episode 1 again. Did anyone notice at the very end, when the camera was scanning round Claire's living room with mood music, she had Camille on her lap, Lena was sitting next to them and Jerome standing - when it scanned round to the reflection in the patio windows, Camille was missing? - I think. It wasn't awfully clear, but it did look like she could be.

It gets in your head this thing!

I didnt notice that mad but im thinking there are so many little things you can pick up on if you watch again. Julies flat has a poster of The Exorcist!

See, I'm concentrating so much on reading the subtitles that I'm missing all these things. Unless... they are not visible to everyone Shock

Ooh, mad - good spot!!

Holsten, didn't someone up thread say next week is Victor? Or did I misread?

Madhair did you notice though that when camille was shopping she had a reflection in the mirror outside the changing room? I made dh rewind to check!

Yes, it's Victor on Sunday, according to the Radio Times Smile

A Victor episode! Mon Dieu. I will be too scared to go to bed. My very cowardly 16-year-old son will be petrified.

I don't actually think Victor comes across as that creepy in himself..... I know what he does is sick (which makes him so) but are we assuming that is because he's a revenant or what? His vibe doesn't seem malign but maybe that's more to do with the rather surreal way in which the whole series has been made?

Gawd you leave a thread for a few days and find some people have watched the whole thing!

I neeeed to watch the whole thing again to pick up on the poster and obvs a whole bunch of other clues, but won't have time for a whole yet Sad

A second series def suggests we may get some - but certainly not all of the answers at the end of series 1!

Another thing that hit me - totally unplanned by the makers - is the spooky coincidence about water levels seeming to rise in the town (e.g. the basin in the church) when there has been so much flooding recently in the UK, central Europe and elsewhere. That could put a whole new spin on things Wink

Victor obviously is some sort of touchstone for les revenants but I'm not sure he's inherently evil. Those pictures he drew seemed to suggest he either lived in a violent home or met a violent death, no?

Actually, crap, it just hit me that maybe he appeared in font of the coach to try and get himself a playdate with another undead child?!

Teej, did you not notice that Victor had drawn Julie's injuries?

I've watched episodes 4 & 5 now. It's still as haunting, and as mysterious Grin

My (French-living-in-France) sister told me the reviews for the show were v good to start with but then apparently it all turns a bit silly. I hope not cos I'm loving it!

Was a bit Hmm that Lena and Frederic were actually getting naked for a quickie in a pub loo. I though it was a bit let's-see-the-scar-again contrived.

Going by their interactions I don't think the sisters swapped though. It seemed Lena pretended to be sick to have sex with a boy she knew her sister liked but as far as I could tell there was no relationship between Camille and Frederic at any point.
The scene where the pregnant mother sees Camille was just chilling. Good redirection though.

Why does Thomas have a spy control room???? Isn't that rather...odd? I can't remember if it's just for him or a police thing.

And finally Adele has the most beautiful luminous smile. It really lights up the room. She's lovely.

I'm surprised that so many have watched the whole thing. What happened to delayed gratification?

Victor drew lots of things that have happened I think - there is a drawing with a small roundish bloke with a knife - Serges' brother?

I am holding out for the delayed gratification of watching it each week until I finish school in three weeks and then sit around watching the last 3 episodes in my PJs
