If its been four years I suppose maybe people haven't aged that much. Apart from Camilles older sister, ageing four years as a teen would be more noticeable.

I think the old man is freaked out - maybe he thinks she's the devil or something? Maybe she's his daughter? Was she the teacher?

My theory about the little boy is maybe he was a miscarriage and he's come back to his mum? He seems to young to have been on that school trip
