Have started a new thread as the old one won't accept my message. So I'll repost it here:

Fuzz has form for being beyond thick. Remember the whole stape thing? Her character is just incredibly stupid. You'd think she would learn her lesson. Running away 'on a fishing boat' with £200 is like a story from a 16th century novel.

Re the abduction I think they were wrong. Lots of mums keeps kids from fathers for all manner of selfish reasons and abduction is not the answer. However I do think ty was desperate. But why won't he just let the court decide ffs. He's got loads of evidence. I'm getting to the point in this story where I'm actually ready to punch him myself! In fact have felt a tiny bit sorry for k when they stole ruby. Surely the writers can't have intended for this to happen? God knows. Im away next week so hopefully I'll miss the stupid court stuff and be back for some proper corrie storylines.

Didn't know Timothy West had been in it before but it's happens quite a few times with actors who seem to specialise in Casualty/The Bill/Corrie non-regular roles

I hope Stella does not get back with Carl.

And a big dramatic NOOOOO to Eric dying.....he's just so nice, and seems so sad Sad

Flash will make a spectacular comeback, strolling up the street to the Platt household to announce dramatically to Gail that he is, in fact, her father....Doof doof doof doodoodoodoodoo doo.....oh wait, wrong soap ending......

Awwwww Thanks Heavenly.

Grahame/Graeme was David Platts ex cell-mate.

Graham was brilliant, the storyline with him and the fake marriage was just dreadful, they should have kept him, he and Tina were good together.

Tina's a bloody martyr isn't she? She threw her fella at that Xin and practically forced them to marry. Then she becomes a surrogate to pay off Tommy's debt and she hasn't seen him for dust. She needs to become more selfish.

I loved it when Graham got the dodgy passports for Ashley's Claire and the boys. She got away with lamping Tracey

Am I alone in thinking that Katie's mate....can't remember her name.....is awful! Urgh, I can't quite put my finger on it, but she has that same acting style/attitude as Lauren Branning in Eastenders......over the top, attitude filled....yuk...

PaintedBottom · 23/02/2013 15:47

And which was worse....Mandy drooling all over poor Mister Lister or Gail dribbling over Lewis......both made me shudder, many times.....

Aww I loved spider. Really love the Roy and Gloria stories. Very well written. Can't stand kylie or Tyrone. I mean, you run off with a baby ffs and then are shocked ( terrible acting) when you are charged. How old is he? 4? He seems to have no concept of adult life.

Tina - another character who is getting on my wick. For a start she doesn't look like she's from up north. Too tanned and groomed. Then there's the weird pregnancy. They could've done so much more with her character.

But funniest moment this month was seeing Sophie sat in the cafe with Jenna amending her cv?!!! Hahaaaa. So a thirty something professional would get her cv redone or looked over by a 19 year old who works in the corner shop and dropped out of college. Hahaa. Good one scriptwriters.

Painted - I don't watch EE, but Katie's mate reminds me of Candice who used to be Sarah Platt's best friend, all pouty and obviously desperate to get a man, any man.

Poor Anna, she really is between a rock and a hard place isn't she? I'd love her to dump Owen, but the fact that it is his house and the Gary and Izzy relationship make that a hard one to engineer.

Where has Tommy gone? I've lost track. Is Tina still in Owen's flat?

Baking - ha ha re Jenna and Sophie doing the CV. I'd sort of glazed over that as I find them tres dull.

I really hope Katie doesn't succumb to Ryan, although it looks like they are setting that storyline up. I kinda like her and Ches together. Why does everyone have to have affairs?

Love Gloria, she has some great lines, but they've quickly turned her into full bitch character which i dint like. And Saint Eva! Since when did she become so demure? Do we think she'll go off with Eric to be his, ahem, 'companion'?

The tortoise story is wicked, but spoiled because it involves dreary, crap acting Mandy. Time for the axe luv! Please!!

Now that's suspicions about Tim have been confirmed (that he was in Corrie before as a copper) I can't help but think of him as a copper instead of irritating Faye's real dad. So lazy of Corrie. Maybe they'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone and Faye and Tim will move far away. Can't stand the brat!

As for Tango Tina.....I can picture the scene come 9 mths time. It'll be night time in the ward and she'll have been left unexpectedly in the delivery/ post natal room with the baby. The lights are dimmed. The baby starts crying....Tina looks round for help but there is none. She ends up picking up the baby and quietly sshing it and rocking it and all of a sudden, a bond has been struck. She looks into the baby's eyes and realises she can't give it up. Then Rita/Tommy/Stella coming in and Tina looking up saying "I can't do this, I want to keep my baby". Cue closing credits. I thank you.

Sleepy- corrie law states that anyone who gives birth in a hospital or any medical institution will face the immediate axe. Tina will have to give birth on the cobbles/ in Roy's caff whilst eating a bap/ in the salon/ upstairs in the builders yard/ in bistro over lunch or in the rovers whilst pulling a pint.

Obviously, neither izzy Owen Anna or ginger will be in there but will be dashing like mad to get there. She will deliver on the floor with someone providing hot towels and tea.

yes Faye is an absolute brat and looks too old to be at primary school. I was glad Izzy had a go at Anna.

and Mandy is more like Lloyds mum. I doubt if it would have been easy to get another tortoise as aren't they banned for being imported. also didn't Mandy have quite a nice house before. why would she want to live in a grotty flat.

Faye is Sophie Webster's cousin in real life. Carla used to date Des Barnes in real life. Incidentally Carla was in Corrie before she became a regular. She played a bored housewife called Mrs Fanway who seduced Jason. Eva was a good 5-6 stone heavier than she is now. She looks stunning. Sally Webster's husband is the head script writer on Emmerdale. Michelle Collins got the part after the producers (allegedley sp) had a bet to see if they could get her.

Fergus, I said something similar about Tina however maybe the baby not biologically being hers might be a factor? Anyway if she wants to keep it then its tough luck really innit.

Carla spoke differently in Dream Team, less nasally, but still had the same eyebrows years before HD brows.

She does a great Manc accent. I think the actress is from Leicester.
