Have started a new thread as the old one won't accept my message. So I'll repost it here:

Fuzz has form for being beyond thick. Remember the whole stape thing? Her character is just incredibly stupid. You'd think she would learn her lesson. Running away 'on a fishing boat' with £200 is like a story from a 16th century novel.

Re the abduction I think they were wrong. Lots of mums keeps kids from fathers for all manner of selfish reasons and abduction is not the answer. However I do think ty was desperate. But why won't he just let the court decide ffs. He's got loads of evidence. I'm getting to the point in this story where I'm actually ready to punch him myself! In fact have felt a tiny bit sorry for k when they stole ruby. Surely the writers can't have intended for this to happen? God knows. Im away next week so hopefully I'll miss the stupid court stuff and be back for some proper corrie storylines.

Gah! I can't watch the half eight ep till tomorrow on catch-up. Am I the only one who feels a bit sorry for Eva?

SoleSource · 25/02/2013 20:38

Nope I do too kungfu.
She shoud go on holiday.

SoleSource · 25/02/2013 20:41

David should know!

SoleSource · 25/02/2013 20:43

Ooooh he is dead???

Corrie you are so disappointing. Stupid storylines

LeeCoakley · 25/02/2013 21:03

BORRRING!!! Both episodes tonight were all about 'telling'. Lloyd couldn't tell Mandy, Eric wouldn't tell Gloria, Gail wouldn't tell David. And now - Gail has moved out of her OWN home. How ridiculous! I can't believe those two own the house already?

alemci · 25/02/2013 21:34

Ken Dodd they must have read your post as the kebab shop appears to exist again with Ryan managing single handed.

LineRunner · 25/02/2013 22:35

That entire episode was just lunacy. And not in a good way.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/02/2013 22:46

I missed it !! Gutted. What stories shall I write ?

Bakingnovice · 26/02/2013 09:23

Arfghhgggggggggggggggg.

I'm this close to stopping watching now. Ffs. Pile of shit at the moment.

I've just read the spoilers on Digital Spy, it looks like its starts getting more interesting next week

carabos · 26/02/2013 13:56

I tell you what, Helen Worth (Gail) must be teachers' pet with the scriptwriters cos it's all about her innit/ Her character is never off screen for more than a day or two and she gets massive storylines (even if they are a pantomime).

They surpassed themselves last night with first Gail moving into Sally's and then Eric just literally sitting down and dying like that. I reckon Timothy West must have taken one look at the joke storyline about him running off with the 40 25 year old Eva and handed in his notice.

Torch the lot of them!

whatkungfuthat · 26/02/2013 14:12

I know I keep on about this but it isn't possible that Ratboy and Kylie even own the house yet, they only spoke to the bank about a mortgage 2 weeks ago, so how can they kick her out?

MurielTheActor · 26/02/2013 14:49

I loved last night's episodes (but I generally do when they're written by Jonathan Harvey). Gail storyline (obviously silly if you break it down) was played really well, I thought .
All the time I was thinking that she's overcompensating for her own recent humiliation in her reactions. It was her (she?) who betrayed the family and now she's all holier than though over Kylie?? Felt very real to me (within the bounds of soap opera)

LineRunner · 26/02/2013 16:22

Timothy West, a fine actor (I have seen him on stage), reduced to this crap.

Clawdy · 26/02/2013 16:34

I don't think actors like TW do feel they are reduced by appearing on Coronation Street, they see it as a bit of fun, on what is still regarded as an iconic programme. I saw Sir Ian M. giving a talk onstage a couple of years ago and he said he had loved every minute of his guest appearance on it.

SwedishEdith · 26/02/2013 18:12

Yes, Gail being kicked out of her own house does smack of lunacy but, could it be possible, that that part of the story was filmed after they knew they had to write Kevin out?

I don't think thespians feel reduced at all by being Corrie, I bet they love it! Why wouldn't you?

LineRunner · 26/02/2013 18:26

I remember Sir Ian M; I'm sure he had better lines.

LineRunner · 26/02/2013 18:29

Maybe Timothy West did a tribute death to Martha Longhurst.

MrsSalvoMontalbano · 26/02/2013 18:29

My dream is to be in Corrie - Dh has said if we win £22m on the lottery he will bribe someone so I can sit in the Rovers, as an extra, in the background..

LineRunner · 26/02/2013 18:40

Will you die in the snug?

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 26/02/2013 18:45

Am I the only one who thought Corrie missed a treat with Timothy West, he was soooooo meant to be Roys Dad.

yy to Anna and Tim getting together, cant bear Owen.

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 26/02/2013 19:02

bare even, now Ive confused myself Hmm Grin

Bakingnovice · 26/02/2013 20:52

Can't look at Tom without seeing a coppers hat on his head.

OP posts:
whatkungfuthat · 26/02/2013 21:15

Perhaps they can write the Roy's dad storyline in quickly and posthumously to fill in for Kevin being written out? Roy and Hayley could be millionaires

Airwalk79 · 27/02/2013 11:14

Kylie and David have been moaning about being skint for ever. Presumably they were giving Gail a token amount of rent. How can they suddenly afford a mortgage, and all the bills?
