Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - TBFE sees a SDTP wearing a waterfall cardigan and thinks 'WTF?'

Welcome one and all to the fan club of the afternoon soap 'Doctors'.

For any newcomers , explanations as follows:

TBFE: The Bloke From Emmerdale (Ian Kelsey who plays Howard)

SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

I have been to my own GP today. Had to wait 45 minutes. I need to move to Letherbridge and get a home visit, or get swept straight through on arrival.

BiscuitNibbler · 03/10/2012 13:43

I've got to go out in a minute to take DD to her swimming lesson. I can't wait until next year when she is at school all day. Although I suppose I'll have to get a proper job then, which will be even more incompatible with my Doctors viewing.

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 13:46

Sparkling, tut tut, they need to take a lesson from Doctors.

Biscuit I've managed to avoid getting a proper job for 7 years!

I'm knackered from painting DDs bedroom. She 'bet' me I couldn't finish it today -she's using reverse psychology on me, I swear.

Gay Dave's Zumba?

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 13:48

I missed what it is that chafes?

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 13:49

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 13:51

Oh right MsN. Thanks I think. Grin

Not liking the new Doctor much.

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 13:57

Home visit by TBFE no less.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 13:58

He may as well do a home visit everyone else does.

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 14:02

Yawn

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 14:03

Not liking todays storyline Sad

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 14:05

We asked for a fun WTF storyline and get this. Confused

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 14:13

Ugh! I hated that episode for obvious reasons. Tomorrows looks more promising though Smile

Back to painting!

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 14:24

Yep. If anyone hasn't watched today, give it a miss.

toldmywrath · 03/10/2012 15:27

So MsNo-I take it you are having that all important coffee/tea break from decorating at 1.45pm!
Hello to everyone & anyone whose doctors has visited them at their hospital.

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 16:59

I did have a break told and then moaned all the way through Doctors Grin

I am sick of decorating. Just 2 rooms to go now though. Yippee!

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 17:12

Or who has had the practice manager visit them at home told. Grin

Today's will not be winning 'Best Storyline' at any Soapy Awards that's for sure.

Raahh · 03/10/2012 17:30

well, haven't seen today's. Might not botherShock

dd2 and dh are both full of colds, maybe I should demand a home visit just because.

MsN-I am crap at decorating. I'm crap at everything practical, really. My mother-who could re-upholster a bean bag whilst whipping up a 4 course dinner and painting the ceiling with a brush between her teeth- despairsGrin But she is a loon who paints her living room every two years WHETHER IT NEEDS IT OR NOT! ShockGrin

Biscuit- I'm not looking forward to dd being old enough for schoolSad. I went back to work when ds was 3 months, and dd1, 6months. i haven't worked since I was 12 weeks pg with dd2. i fear i am too old and useless to ever get a job. Except as a crap telly critic. Or practice manager- I'm sure i could do that! Hell, going by this lot, i could even be a doctorGrinGrin

terrywoganstrousers · 03/10/2012 18:32

I thought Jas's sexline talk was very poor.

MsNobodyAgain · 03/10/2012 18:55

Agreed. I had sexier talks with the man who collected money for the Manchester Evening News! Wink

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2012 19:00

You see this is where a Doctors late night episode would be handy. Jas could say whatever she liked. Grin

toldmywrath · 03/10/2012 19:16

Or Raahh =a job for you could be a doctor and a sexline talker!
Nope Sparkling never had a visit from the practice manager either, but TBFE could see me at home any day. Wink
