For any newcomers , explanations as follows:

TBFE: The Bloke From Emmerdale (Ian Kelsey who plays Howard)

SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

Note to self, procure the following:

1. New waterfall cardi in beige

Was in M&S yesterday and they had a lot of waterfall cardis. I was giving knowing looks to all the forty-somethings browsing them, but no one offered to arrange a home visit, so I don't think any of you lot were there.

Biscuit it was a wedding vow renewal thingy so I left the house at 10.30am. By 8pm, I was done in. My days of pouring myself in a taxi at daft o'clock are over it seems.

Hello Mary - that is the best reason to buy an iPad I've ever heard. I tend to watch it in the evenings too, as DD & DH do not appreciate it for some odd reason.

I have a strange (hormonal?) fondness for the name Heston, and Zara is on our girl's list .

Heston is a lovely name. Cuddly and lovely as well as being strong and dependable. Definitely due a revival.
