Personally, I can't wait. At a complete loss since the end of Borgen. Smile

OP posts:

did anyone else feel slightly wierd watching this the same week Brevik has gone on trial in norway?
just creepy it's about someone using dreadful crimes as a way to make a point about the way they see society going..

Anonymo · 21/04/2012 23:34

Yes, that occurred to me too teej

scummymummy · 21/04/2012 23:35

Yes- meticulous planning- 3.5 years ago the recording was made.

I'm worried for the woman with the 2 little boys.

MousyMouse · 21/04/2012 23:35

creepy, yes.

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:36

and again realised i haven't finished off a thought properly....
scummy if the killer cared enough about the non-powerful people he would not have killed them, so it's not about getting their deaths investigated iykwim.... but it may be about a past oversight on the part of the police - the root cause is that someone someone cared about was killed or died and the police just shelved the case because they were not "important enough"

see then bad tache guy would have been in the frame but he wouldn't have poisoned his own sister, would he?!

Yama · 21/04/2012 23:38

Well, I started Jo Nesbo's Redbrest a couple of weeks ago Teej. Have you read it? I have learned a lot about Norway's involvement in WW2. Always good to add to your general knowledge. Yes, weird though.

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:38

unless he got someone to deliver the wine anonymously and then puked up in the office loo because he realised his sister might be caught up in his plan, because he wasn't controlling who was getting the wine, it was a delivery driver who had no clue what was going on?

Anonymo · 21/04/2012 23:39

Oh, so was the sister not the woman with the 2 kids then? I am a bit confused ... (they looked similar, didn't they?) Might have to rewatch tomorrow ...

MousyMouse · 21/04/2012 23:40

I think bad-tache-guy is somehow involved (driving mum to isolated house removing her phone).
at first I thought she (the mum) is the same as sonja. so similar in their titchyness and appearance.

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:43

yama jo nesbo has to be one of the world's most smug people. i've read the books, the kids have read his children's books. and this is after he has had a career as a stockbroker and a rock star? pah!

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:46

oh and yy a norwegian friend many moons ago explained the whole ww2 thing

mousy, anonymo i wondered if he was trying to save the mum because she was so like his sis? either that or he is setting her up - and again because she is so like his sis.
those matching scars and moisturiser use were creeepy...

Yama · 21/04/2012 23:47

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. Right ~I best be off to bed. See you next week for the next episodes.

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:49
scummymummy · 21/04/2012 23:50

but is she a real sister or is the arm marking some sort of cult thing?

teejwood · 21/04/2012 23:53

mmm - good point scummy. they were certainly in a position where they considered themselves brother and sister at the very least. the "he is in me" line was vv creepy too..

Anonymo · 21/04/2012 23:55

I'm off too. See you all next week (well, will catch up with any more theories tomorrow :))

scummymummy · 22/04/2012 00:03

night all. Do wonder about a cult, especially given the Charlie talk from the very disturbed "sister". Could the cult have killed Charlie and this pushed the sister into mental illness and drug addiction? Moustache is definitely suspicious, despite his (or because of his? all are not equal under the law?) apparent wish to save fallen drug addicted women...

CarelessWispa · 22/04/2012 09:01

I too wondered about the cult thing. But drug addict's brother does look like a porn star. And is it just me or is it odd for a man to be applying moisturiser to his leg?!?!?

To begin with I did worry that he was going to rape young mother in the house in the country, or at least expect sexual favours in exchange for new house/identity etc. Or maybe he is just a nice guy (social worker), trying to right the wrongs in the world. Maybe trying to repay something to society after being in cult, or, er, something like that....

I thought Danish police officer's chat up line (or lack of) was brilliant. Why waste money on a drink, indeed!

MousyMouse · 22/04/2012 09:04

maybe tache has got eczema?
my dh has it on his legs and it is invisible when he moiturises. if he doesn't it gets dry and angry. dunno, maybe the past drug use had an effect on his skin?

CarelessWispa · 22/04/2012 20:07

You could be right, mouse. I think I got so into my porn star/rapist idea that I thought he was about to massage lotion on some woman (boys' mother?) lying on bed just out of shot, but no, he applied it to his leg instead. Smile

tyler80 · 22/04/2012 21:29

Just got round to watching episode 2

"I thought Danish police officer's chat up line (or lack of) was brilliant"

She's the swedish police officer, the guy is the Danish one

I was very pleased to hear one of the few Danish words I know - pik Grin

teejwood · 28/04/2012 22:26

loving this week but keep looking at new characters thinking "you'll be dead, then". right - the next atrocity is going to be to do with the police trial, no? the samurai's "assignment"...
what do you think?

Yama · 28/04/2012 22:29

Danish cop's personality is coming out a bit more this week. If I'm not careful I might fancy him ...

teejwood · 28/04/2012 22:36

why can samurai guy remember he's got an assignment but not the girl?

teejwood · 28/04/2012 22:37

yama that vasectomy worked out just in time for the missus, i'm guessing Grin think she might need to poas!
