I am so bloody excited. I have wiped the sky+ box so that I can store the episodes. I can't wait to see brienne and melissandre.

And robb with his kit off.

Or jon snow.

I didn't remember Davos being there in the book with Melisandre either but I've said before, can't remember much from book 2! Currently about 100 pages in on the re-read but way behind the series!

DaenerysTargaryen · 24/04/2012 22:54

Yh davos has to be there because melisandre isn't a chapter character is she, it was seen from davos' view point.

whathaveiforgottentoday · 25/04/2012 16:27

obviously - duh! I must really have been out of it when i read book 2. I read it just after my back op so was dosed up on painkillers. Its quite nice watching the series without remembering the detail!!

OracleInaCoracle · 25/04/2012 16:33

I don't really remember book 2 either, it was overshadowed by book 3 imo. We have to be nearing the sack of winterfell now, I'm loving bran as summer. There is definitely a more mystical feel this series.

Davos definitely rows Melisandre so she can give birth to the shadow-monster (guess how the shadow monster got in her in the first place btw - yuck!)

I liked the way the books had different point-of-view characters but I think the TV series is enhanced by having scenes that didn't happen in the books.

crikeybill · 30/04/2012 23:34

Anyone see it tonight ?

BrightnessFalls · 01/05/2012 14:32

I haven't yet. Where is everyone? Was it rubbish?

whathaveiforgottentoday · 01/05/2012 16:59

I'm really busy and I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

ILovePonyo · 01/05/2012 20:16

Am just marking place as this has disappeared from my Threads I'm On.

I watched it! It wasn't rubbish just left me (a non book reader) with more questions, eg SPOILER?!! whats with the man who killed the tickler for Arya? He is very interesting and sinister Plus more but my mind has gone blank.

Little shit Joffrey wasn't in this one Angry

crikeybill · 01/05/2012 20:34

Ooh that man is very interesting. Def keep your eye on him as all is not what it seems!!!

I enjoyed last night it was good. Was gutted about renley, although having read the books I knew it was coming. Plus they showed more Jon snow, always a bonus !!

ErikNorseman · 01/05/2012 20:44

Yes I watched it, watched it twice actually as I didn't find it as gripping ad usual and missed a fair bit. I liked a man very much, quite sexy :) I need to get cracking on the books.

ILovePonyo · 01/05/2012 20:45

Ooh yes yes to Jon Snow, he is such a beaut isn't he

See I knew from these threads that that man was one to keep my eye on, I want to know why impatient but don't want to if you know what I mean.

ErikNorseman · 01/05/2012 20:56

I just googled

ILovePonyo · 01/05/2012 21:00

Nooooooo Shock I am trying not to after I googled 'red wedding' Angry

I know what I meant to say, did anyone else think Brienne's (sp?) was a bit crap?! I'm watching it again now as theres nothing else on Grin

ILovePonyo · 01/05/2012 21:01

gah Briennes acting sorry

ErikNorseman · 01/05/2012 21:05

I am staying miles away from 'red wedding'!
I'm not sure about Bremen maybe she will grow on me.

BusinessTrills · 01/05/2012 21:12

Brienne is supposed to be a bit awkward and uncomfortable in her skin.

DaenerysTargaryen · 01/05/2012 21:27

I thought last nights was the best of this series so far and as you know I'm difficult to please Grin

The only part I was worried about was when bran said about his dream of the sea coming to winterfell, now wasn't that jojens dream? Confused surely theyre not cutting jojen and meera out? They couldn't! Could they?

crikeybill · 02/05/2012 13:31

Yes I think your right, it was Jojens dream. Hmm The green people werent they ? Yes you are right ! How will that work then I wonder ? With the whole, Bran going you know where with you know who ??

Ephiny · 02/05/2012 15:43

It looks to me like they're planning to cut out Jojen and Meera, and basically incorporate them into the Bran/Osha roles. Which would be a shame, but I guess there are a lot of new characters already for viewers to keep track of, maybe they don't want to over-complicate things.

I thought Brienne was good actually, exactly how I imagined her from the books.

Margaery's dress was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen though, what on earth was going on there?

DaenerysTargaryen · 02/05/2012 17:25

So will bran just go on his own then? Confused

I know there's lots of characters but surely those two are needed? Unless theyre thinking to introduce them a bit later on.

All of margaerys dresses have baffled me tbf

crikeybill · 02/05/2012 17:41

It's her face that freaks me out. It's all wonky.

Ephiny · 02/05/2012 17:48

I'm guessing Bran will go with Osha (and Hodor). No idea what will happen with Rickon in that case though, as it's Osha who takes him wherever it is he goes in the books. Yes maybe they will turn up later though!

Twit · 02/05/2012 17:58

so is marjory good? I can't help but be suspicious, when I used to be so trusting Sad Grin
