I am so bloody excited. I have wiped the sky+ box so that I can store the episodes. I can't wait to see brienne and melissandre.

And robb with his kit off.

Or jon snow.

I can only think of two weddings that are a big deal in book 3. Maybe I should refresh my reading, that'll keep me occupied for a bit!

OracleInAMonarchale · 31/05/2012 09:11

there are 3 iirc, Joffrey, Tyrion and Edmure

OracleInAMonarchale · 31/05/2012 09:12

is anyone else glad they havent included Shireen and Patchface? Patchface makes my skin crawl.

Ephiny · 31/05/2012 16:55

Actually it looks like Shireen is going to be in the 3rd series after all (no mention of Patchface though, which is probably no bad thing - I found him creepy in the books as well, and don't think he would really 'work' onscreen).

Meera and jojen are in as well!

here

OracleInAMonarchale · 31/05/2012 17:01

oooh, I am glad about Jojen and Meera.

and Edmure....

Trills · 01/06/2012 09:25

Did Tyrion get much of a wedding? I suppose the act of him getting married was a significant event, but I don't remember there being a wedding as such.

Ephiny · 01/06/2012 09:30

Yes Tyrion's wedding was described, I remember the bit where he's too short to put the cloak around Sansa's shoulders and she stubbornly refuses to kneel for him.

There's Tommen's wedding too (not sure which book it happens in), that's going to look pretty weird on-screen now I think about it!

Ooh, there's Littlefinger/Lysa as well at some point.

OracleInAMonarchale · 02/06/2012 23:08

I feel so bad for him in that.

OracleInAMonarchale · 04/06/2012 12:06

tonight!!!!!!!

whathaveiforgottentoday · 04/06/2012 19:34

very excited!

ILovePonyo · 04/06/2012 22:24

Shock Best episode so far?! Those night walkers at the end were just fantastic. Dp commented that they always seem to leave the most fantasy bits til the end though.

As frustrating as it sometimes is having not read the books, I love that I couldnt guess what coming next - Joffrey and Sansa, Daeny and her dragons and more.

Oh and did anyone else cry at Tyrion and his lady? I may have Blush

OracleInAMonarchale · 05/06/2012 00:25

Oh my! How awesome was that?! Disappointed that they skipped so many visions, and bypassed the 3 thing. but I cried at tyrion, again at drogo and the others left me Shock scared the life out of me.

Ephiny · 05/06/2012 09:56

I cried a bit when Maester Luwin died, even though I knew it was going to happen :(. Liked Arya/Jaqen's scene, and Tyrion/Shae, wished we had more of Brienne/Jaimie. House of the Undying was different but still worked, and I liked the new visions (Drogo and the baby was lovely to see and how about snow on the Iron Throne! Shock)

The White Walkers/zombies were OK but somehow not as scary as in the books, and it seemed a bit of an odd place to suddenly end the series. I thought they'd finish with just the three horn blasts.

OracleInAMonarchale · 05/06/2012 10:04

Im gutted they missed the "3" thing out. and I was hoping to see Rhaegar, as well as the red wedding.

I cried at maester luwin as well. and I loved Theon. I genuinely feel sorry for him. and knowing what comes next.... the poor, silly boy.

ILovePonyo · 05/06/2012 10:12

What were the other visions that Daeny had then? I know about the red wedding (because I googled it, silly me) but would like to know the other ones.

I also cried at drogo and the baby, that broke my heart :(

OracleInAMonarchale · 05/06/2012 10:19

she saw Aerys and Rhaegar (who said the dragon must have three heads) she saw a blue rose at the wall (a big signifier that Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna's, and not ned's) the undying tell her: "three fires must you light... one for life and one for death and one to love... three mounts must you ride... one to bed and one to dread and one to love... three treasons will you know... once for blood and once for gold and once for love..." fours dwarves ravishing a woman and a house with a red door which was her childhood home.

its a huge deal and the prophesy of the three is something that has huge significance for her later in the books.

OracleInAMonarchale · 05/06/2012 10:20

and Im really not loving the casting of Natalie Dormer. She is too sexy/knowing. Marjory is v innocent looking

OracleInAMonarchale · 05/06/2012 10:22

she also sees Stannis and Viserys.

ILovePonyo · 05/06/2012 10:32

Thanks oracle, again Shock and wow.

trills, thats ace!!!

ILovePonyo · 05/06/2012 20:57

Oh. Have just been doing some geeky reading up on the TWoP forums and I meant 'white' walkers earlier, not night walkers Hmm Apologies!

Trills · 05/06/2012 21:12

The Others.

Just caught up and a few disappointing moments in this last episode. Where are Dany's visions? Surely Robb got married without his mum knowing? Jon's stuff was more straightofrwardly he-told-me-to-do-it in the book.

Looking forward to more Brienne and Jaime though :) And Littlefinger being creepy at Sansa.

And poor poor Theon.

I am rewatching tonight. did anyone catch the interview with GRRM and Grace Dent?
