I am in the medical profession and its the only medical programme i can bring myself to watch and not scream obsecenities at the screen for fuckwittery. Its excellent.

I remember it first time round too. I was gutted when Dr Ross left, but the great thing about Sky Atlantic playing it every night is that there was no time at all until Dr Kovek turned up :)

Only thing is of course is that i know that Mark Green is going to die and i keep getting all sad looking at him

Next week Lucy and Carter get stabbed!!! Missed this first time around despite being biggest ER fan in the world .

I hope they show the episode where Carter and Lucy are being worked on after the stabbings, as each time the series was shown on Ch4, they missed that one out.

Oh no that was an awful episode. Then carter descends into drugs/drink
still waiting for my fave when dr greene pretends to shock that patient in the lift but really lets him die

Also really enjoying watching there early episodes with DD. She loves ER but is too young to have seen these .

OMG the Carter and Lucy stabbing ep...

Lucy and Carter stabbed - my favourite EVER episode of ER. I started snivelling as soon as I saw that guy with the headache as I remembered it all from the first time I watched it (and how many years ago was that?). I kept wanting them to get out of the room. At least I've only got to wait until tomorrow for the aftermath.

Now I start looking at Dr Green and thinking no don't die!

Can anybody remember when Susan comes back?

I've got the whole of the final series recorded and ready to watch. Will it be a letdown? IMO it was at its best in the days of Nurse Carol Hathaway, Doctor Susan Lewis et al and had gone downhill quite a bit by the time Dr Luca etc came on the scene, but I still found the later series worth watching possibly just out of nostalgia.
