Now I have kids I am shocked that Sam lets her son just wander about the ER and to and from school all alone most of the time, before kids I did not give it a 2nd thought.

Kem does come back for a bit and I think Carter coughs up a few million to have a hospital wing or something name after his son.

There is a fantastic episode with Sam and her Ex coming up to do with kidnapping, Sam is amazing in it! Will say no more.
