If you're not induced though there is an almost 100% chance you will give birth naturally well within the 96 hours.

LauraSmurf · 21/02/2011 21:49

Ahh ok, thought so, it is my nightmare for when i am pregnant (positive thoughts as still ttc) as i have a clotting disorder.

VivaLeBeaver · 21/02/2011 21:49

Goggles are universal precautions against blood splashs. Our hospital say we must wear them, noone does.

ImFab · 21/02/2011 21:49

Geepers, sorry to butt in but how do you feel about your son not wanting a dna test?

FriggFRIGG · 21/02/2011 21:49

oh no poor kaycey,
some one needs to explain it to her, shes so frightened, poor love.Sad

coinoperatedgirl · 21/02/2011 21:49

Only the Mum would know if she needed an epi, surely just because she wasn't screaming her head off, doesn't mean she hadn't had enough/reached the limit of pain tolerance.

TwoIfBySea · 21/02/2011 21:50

Kacey's panicking isn't helping. Look at the poor baby's face. Just into the world and for this to happen.

Do you think the way she was had any affect on that?

I have no idea about these things. My dts were surgically removed by EMCS at 36 weeks and I wish for another baby as it was such a fraught time I didn't get to enjoy it. However as a single person there is no likelihood of a sibling (although ex is ensuring he continues to populate the world.) I'll be 40 this year so beyond geriatric!

twirlymum · 21/02/2011 21:50

They have never shown a placenta being delivered either.

Panzee · 21/02/2011 21:50

Maybe she wants an epidural.

GMajor7 · 21/02/2011 21:50

Guess so...I'm just a bit surprised!

darleneconnor · 21/02/2011 21:50

KR- that's really bad that they lied to you Sad

thebrownstuff · 21/02/2011 21:50

WOW Geepers Sad It must have made you a very strong person.

sheeplikessleep · 21/02/2011 21:50

ds1 was born 48 hours after waters broke.

he had infection and was in scbu for a few days.

coinoperatedgirl · 21/02/2011 21:50

Yay

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 21/02/2011 21:50

Mum's not a gusher is she?

NancyDrewHadaClue · 21/02/2011 21:50

I wish they'd explain to Kaycee what is going on?

I had a PPH after my first and went into shock. DH and I had no idea what was going on which made it all the more terrifying Sad

In fact the MW said to DH "you need to stay with your baby she needs you now" and he thought that meant I was dying.

Geepers · 21/02/2011 21:51

Imfab, it's his choice. I've encouraged him to do it but I think deep down we all believe the baby isn't his. When he is ready he will do it I am sure. Until then I support his decision.

isthismadness · 21/02/2011 21:51

Oh no hope kacey is ok

Bet they got it wrong with older ladies cervix she didn't look like she was 6cm, and now she's needing synto....

ha ha... I was in real pain and they didn't even give me gas and air! bastards. Perhaps I should have shouted louder!

darleneconnor · 21/02/2011 21:51

Yeah, they should show the 3rd stage.

Some women go into labour not knowing it exists!

coinoperatedgirl · 21/02/2011 21:52

Twoby, no way was kasey responsible for the pph. Losing blood in a big way must be very scary, she couldn't help panicking fgs. Her baby will be fine.

VivaLeBeaver · 21/02/2011 21:52

We get loads of women not even in labour after 96 hours. We bring them in for iol but don't have space on labour eard to start them off. Sit on antenatal ward for days.

CarolinaRua · 21/02/2011 21:52

GMajor7 Im guessing she got one becaused she asked for it as she felt she needed it??????????????
