Poor girl, really frightened :(

KnittingRocks · 21/02/2011 21:46

Geepers, that's so sad.

How awful about kaycey, after such a wonderful birth.

DuelingFanjo · 21/02/2011 21:46

LauraSmurf · 21/02/2011 21:46

what is pph?

TobyLerone · 21/02/2011 21:46

They should probably tell her gently what's happening and what might have to happen. She's panicking. Poor girl.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 21/02/2011 21:46

Oh that little baby looking up at her. Gorgeous.

VivaLeBeaver · 21/02/2011 21:46

Nice guidelines say baby should be out eithin 96 hours of membranes rupturing. Most hospitals will start iol after 24 hours as it takes time to get labour started and finished.

NotAnotherNewNappy · 21/02/2011 21:46

Oh poor Kaycey, she did so well, such a shame she coulnd't just have a few minutes admiring her lovely baby.

Geepers · 21/02/2011 21:46

Thebrownstuff.

I kind of had family support. I was able to live at home, and my mum looked after baby while I finished my education, but I was always made to feel like I should be miserable because of my 'mistake'. My parents almost rebelled in my struggling and loved the fact my baby didn't sleep and wasn't an easy child.

CheerfulMe · 21/02/2011 21:47

pph = Post-partum hemorrhage.

darleneconnor · 21/02/2011 21:47

It did look like a big baby.

LoveInAColdClimate · 21/02/2011 21:47

Oh no :(

Have never seen anything go wrong with the mother's health after the birth on OMEM before, although I know babies have had to go to SCBU. Surely they wouldn't show it if anything went seriously wrong?

DuelingFanjo · 21/02/2011 21:47

pps ... post partum heamorage (sp)?

crikeybadger · 21/02/2011 21:48

Post Partum Hemmorhage

BitOfFun · 21/02/2011 21:48

PPH= post-partum haemorrhage.

GMajor7 · 21/02/2011 21:48

Why has the older mum gone for an epidural?? Surely she didn't need it Confused

gettingtogrips · 21/02/2011 21:48

Pph = post partum haemorrhage which is excessive bleeding after delivery.

armani · 21/02/2011 21:48

Poor kacey :(

KnittingRocks · 21/02/2011 21:48

darlene, I was induced (didn't realise there was an option) and had a fairly stressful forceps delivery.

Having said that, it took us 5 yrs to conceive so don't think I'd have taken the risk of infection.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 21/02/2011 21:48

I knew mine was coming so I didnt say anything. And he did Grin

sheeplikessleep · 21/02/2011 21:49

maybe she didn't have any painkillers because of some sort of phobia of hospital treatment.
